Lately, I have just been firing up Garmin BaseCamp uploading a random route to my GPS and heading out. Almost all are solo rides but once in a while a buddy may join. And most routes are 80% unpaved dirt farm roads. I create the routes a few days in advance so on the actual ride day I have no idea what roads I had chosen. It feels less planned that way and adds to 'the adventure'. Hey, I know it ain't Moab, but its home!:rofl

This thread will capture rural Michigan feel. Occasionally, I may have some 'city' pictures. If the town has a coffee shop or a grocery store, its 'the city'.

My buddy and I went to Allegan State Game Area a couple of days ago. It was really a long ride on our thumpers to get there, but it was worth it. Next time we trailer the bikes.

There will be lots of barn pictures on this thread. Any picture with barns, farms, farm machinery, farm animals, old churches and old cemeteries fit in here just fine. If your picture fits the theme, please post here.

you either smell manure or you smell mint. Those are the only choices on the menu here.

And we got hay. Farmers plant the hay in the ground and later on there is manure that sprouts. Or there is mint.

Much of it is unpaved. The paved parts are twisty and lead to Hell. Really, there is a Hell, Michigan. Its a crappy motorcycle destination. There is a Paradise, Michigan as well. Its just as crappy.

Yesterday, I had the fork oil on my bike changed to 15W oil--the mechanic said what came out was sludge. I believe him. I also had him put a 1/4" spacer in each fork. We also adjusted the sag in the rear shock to match the firm front. Wow, I guess suspension is important. The road below would have left my teeth chattering as it has some major corrugation. But not this time. Mechanic you rock. And I am glad your rates are reasonable.

Gotta watch out for deer. Looking at the GPS while riding can be hazardous to your health. Even the birds like to check out your helmet shield.

Told you there really is a Hell, Michigan.
It gets my vote as The Cheesiest Place in Michigan.
When I get into a fight with Mrs. Simba she tells me where to go! And after a little cooling off period, I do.
