    TR,
Good to "see" you again. I know I will kick myself If I sell my last remaining RZ. But right now it lives full time in my office and only gets to take a smoke break a few times a year. Basically its moto art. I am thinking that at my age, I am to young (and poor) to be collecting art.
I'm sure I will be riding sweep since all the e-start bikes will have left me in the dust after I drop the piggy and have a minor heart attack trying to prod it back to life.

tk, can you get to the back side of that board? I would think any TV repair shop would be able to replace the resistor for a few bucks. I don't mess with electronics much anymore, but that is almost certainly a resistor.

The colored bands on the resistor tell you the value, I would guess it is a 1/4 watt, and Radio Shack probably has them. I can solder it in.

Does that one looked burned or just separated?

It's just separated. I knocked the pigtail off when I was cleaning it. I can get to the back of it, but it's sealed. I'd have to scratch the sealant off, solder, and reseal with something. I don't know what. I'll run down to Radio Shack tomorrow and see if they can match it up.

They should have a little "color wheel" guide that they can use to decode the value and then match it. They are pretty cheap generally, and if they don't have an exact match, a close match will probably work just fine.

    HICKMAN RIDE ALERT

A couple of us gunslingers from south of the border are thinking about a Hickman run Saturday.

Not the full monte ride - out and back by 4pm at latest.

You don't say...... Might be a good shakedown for the piggy if all the parts come in.

Well, Radio Shack doesn't stock the resistor. I can order it and have it shipped. Is there any place in Nashville where I could find this thing? Would a hobby shop have one? I believe it to be a 1/4 watt 390 ohm resistor. I'd like to ride Hickman this weekend.

I cannot find it right now, so it may not exist anymore, but there used to be an electronic house that was related to Randolph and Jones in Clarksville, and Randolph and Hale in Hopkinsville. It was close to downtown, but it's been a long time since I've been there. It may still be in business, and might have the stuff you need.

Not much help, I know, but maybe you can find it? My google-fu is not strong tonight.

Let me check my stash and I will mail it to you if I have one.

390 would be orange white brown.

    What about 330ohm?

Hey Nasty - here's some more footage.

I was stuck behind some slower guys.
Start it at about 2:45 - we drop out of the woods and I finally get around most of them - then I get past them at a traffic jam at around 5:45 or so I think. Get's face-slappy after that.

Heck, at least your camera angle was half way decent. I was so ticked - damn cam pointed too low. Anyhow, here are two vids. Play in 1080P if your computer can keep up.

Awesome stinking ride!!!!! Absolutely awesome. Still sore.

Probably the most intense offroad ride I've ever done and we hardly got any vids or pics.
I did snap these when we first arrived at the cabin, and still had all our faculities.
Of course, IHF never really has all...his...faculties:

Whens the last time you saw a man try to turn his enduro pants into astronaut pants?

This is Dr Phque - with what is basically a brand new (maybe 4 hour) KTM 300 ...... that he never rode and would do so at one of the most intense offroad rides, for the first time.
Needless to say, he was whining like a lost puppy about getting a scratch on the plastic. The bike had 4 hours on it, rode maybe 8 hours and came back with 50 hours.

Thanks! They have a store on West End. I'll check 'em out tomorrow.

BTW, National Computer Repair in Hendersonville should change their name to National Computer Parts Replacer. They don't actually repair anything per the manager's own words and he doesn't even know where to get stuff repaired.

That's the place I was thinking of, just didn't know where it is was anymore... or how was partnered with Randolph there! haha.

On the second note, that's the norm. It's "cheaper" to just replace components and send the broken crap to Africa to be recycled.
