BLIP . . . . . .floating tag . . . . . .NICE !
Just for that you get a little :
That has to be one of the best tags I have seen, very original.
I moved from Cunningham, TN about a year ago, not far from there.
best. tag. ever!
Wow.... everybody likes the way you play this game so much, they're gonna be blown away when they see you ride!
That is a great shot.
Sandalscout, your turn at the plate. Steve, your on deck. Cecil, stay loose, you may need to pinch-hit for Steve. (Keep it in our corner! If Mr. Breeze gets it, he'll take it to South East BFE!)
Nope - Callie went back to her mom's today - no pinch hitter needed
beezer on the tag Jeff
I'd gladly head that way tomorrow, but I've got to work tomorrow. Ferry stops running, I think, before I could get out there. If it's unclaimed by the weekend I will head that way.
Thanks guys, was crossing river when it hit me Cool Tag!!!
yup..yup.. thats a good one man !
really in the top 3 i have seen, and comeing from my sarcastic ass thats good dude!
P.S.. ever thought of comeing a bit SOUTH.. but looking good man.. keep er' going !
I worked overnight on Wednesday and fully intended to get out to the tag then, but other stuff interfered. I slept all day Thursday, and now it's far, far too icy. It's supposed to get above freezing tomorrow, may get out there then or Sunday, unless someone beats me to it.
I'll be back in town in a week. You have been warned
(I hope my tag finding skillz haven't declined too much )
Nice to see you back. Going to be around for a while?
The same operator was working today when I went by, he said that you told him someone would be along, but honestly expected someone sooner based on your talk. I told him that normally it would have been followed up much sooner. He seemed to think it was pretty cool but thought that anyone out riding in January was crazy.
Not the best picture, but the stacks are in the background.
And the new tag:
Kind of hard to tell what it is, but it is in Montgomery county. I believe it to be the only iron furnace in the county, and some research indicates that it is, at least, the first furnace recorded from Montgomery county.
Good luck, a little bit of digging should reveal it. If more information is needed, I'll be glad to reveal more (this is my first tag).
ATTABOY! Did that 250 ever get up to operating temp?
haha, yeah, it seems to be okay. It's aircooled, a minute or two on the choke and it was running just fine.
Way to go matt!! I have lived in montgomery county all my life and dont know where your tag is. Good one! Steve do you know?
X 2 !!
Iron Furnace - cool ... interesting research.
Looks like 2 in Montgomery, but one is definitely credited as first.
I met one-a them today, too!
... "not all that cold out here", I was thinking.
Matt, I thought I had been on all the Montgomery Co. roads too, but ya got me with this one. For rookies, you and Jeff have this game nailed!
To be completely honest, I was planning on hitting a different furnace, but decided to bring it back, more "middle" in middle Tennessee. I was headed to check out two other places I have ideas for (easy to find, but interesting places historically) and I pulled over to get my phone out when I saw this one. Had no idea it was there, and I'm fairly familiar with the area it's in.
the ninja boy is back ! scarry.......
We seem to be at the point where we're duplicating tags. Check out page 146, looks like we did this one back in Sept.
No big deal, really. And there's nothing that says we can't tag something more than once. Also, this one is actually ON the ferry in the middle of the river, so it's not technically a dupe.
All the same, you might want to check the tag map before going to the trouble.
