Where to next?
It's not real far from the last one, I am still waiting on the new tire to arrive, I thought it would be here by now.
There are some nice roads in the area, just watch out for Bambi and friends.
Yea, tell me about it ! (bambi and friends!) i hate them bastards.
mmmm, she suer would look sweet with a nice set of knobbies!
Good tag stan, i have many camping and boating memories there. but i will tell ya.....they DONT like jetskis !
Happy Fathers Day, all.
Hope it was filled with no drama.
No drama here man !! just a good ride and DAMN ! its HOT~!
Happy fathers day to all the dads from me also...
Yeah, I've always handled the cold better than the heat for some reason. Must be the extra insulation I'm packing. I'm going to be limiting myself to morning and evening rides. Still commuting everyday though.
Gotta say, I'm just a wee bit jealous of all those guys riding around with no gear, but I ain't going there. The other day I had a co-worker ask me why I was wearing a "coat". I told her,"Cause skin grafts really hurt." She didn't get it.
I'm actually looking forward to fall and cooler temps...good camping weather...
Thought about going after the tag Sunday morning, but I when I left the house the bike went west and I just went along.
yep, the FJR makes an excellent fall weather bike...

good thing there's only one road that crosses the border!
Couldn't find a place to turn around, huh.
Well, I was looking for a spot in the road called "Ransom Stand" and either I blinked and missed it but I never saw a sign . That was going to be the next tag but when that fell through this one on the way back looked like a weiner .
I got the Wayne County tag either way
If I go get this tag do I have to park on the side walk? Cause the authorities frown on it when a BIG bike gets on the side walk.
Security will be at lunch between 11:00 and 1:00 so you should be able to sneak in without paying admission.
So I'm heading home from work today around 6:30. Rush hour is pretty well over and traffic is moving along nicely. I'm headed 440 west and right around West End I roll through a shower. Actually felt good...I hit that left hand interchange that puts you back on 40 west bound and I feel the bike start to lose power and die. I'm in the left hand lane with traffic all around and coasting so I have to pull off on the left at the merge. Its a bad spot as I now have traffic on both sides of me, the ramp on the right and 40 on the left. Oh, and it's raining.
Anyway, I assumed I had been bitten by one of the known bugs with KLR 1.0. The breather hose from the carb (we don't need no stinkin FI) hangs down right in front of the back wheel and in a good rain will suck up water. So I commenced to flickin my hose in the middle of the interstate in full view of God and granny. I wasn't shy about it neither. After a full discharge of fluids, I hopped on and hit the starter and she purred ummm, she roared, no thats not it, she clattered to life.
I now know what my next mod is gonna be.
Ouwww.. Sucks, but at least you were educated on the 'issue' and got it going fairly quick. As I was reading I was fearing for the worst.
Glad it was just yer hose.
I hear ya.....I've had to split and turn the vent hoses up on all my bikes. Makes the difference tho...now I can cross water as deep as my booty...
glad you knew what to do...
See, I keep telling my wife that it is MANDATORY to take your hose out and "Flick" it every once in a while. You've got to keep the fluids drained out of it if you want it work right! I'm just glad I didn't have to do that along the interstate!:huh
