Is anybody riding tomorrow? I'm thinking of riding to breakfast somewhere.
I have to drop the wife and daughter off at the airport at 9:30, then I am free to ride for the weekend. I plan to get out tomorrow. I was planning to go ride around Edgar Evens state park. It looks really fun according to my gazetteer.
I'm planning to test my toe out tomorrow, probably ride up to the Total Control class and laugh at the squids.
It is fun. There is a curve on 96 that will smoke your ass if you're not careful. Have fun! I may be out that way myself.
If you are keep an eye out for an orange tiger xc.
I ran my normal loop of 141, 56, and 96 and didn't see 10 bikes all day.
What are you riding? I was over that way today and saw very few bikes as well. Mostly cruisers. 96N was fun, but I need to find a better way to get over there.
Blue Honda Nighthawk
Mary sent me some pictures this weekend of Brenda and myself at EOM....I call them the paparazzi perspective:
I have updated my route to get over there. :
Wanna run it Sunday?
I could be up for that. Wife and daughter just got home after being gone for a week, so a big maybe. I do have a new rear tire to break in though....
I'll PM you tomorrow and see what you're looking like.
Cool. If you have another route with good riding I would love to see it. Trying to get to know the area as much as possible.
Well, went out for a little run on Ginger today, first ride since the toecutter got a hold of me...I had a good ride, the toe isn't happy but it'll live.
This morning as I was riding home I decided I would try out a road that I had passed many times. It is State Route 84 South between 70N and Sparta. This is a super smooth new asphalt curvy road that nobody knows about apparently. I didn't see another vehicle until I was about 5 miles outside of Sparta. Those of you who ride 96, 56 and 70 towards Edgar Evins park may already know about it and didn't tell me not to tell anyone.
Then as I was trying to get back to I40 I went to Smithville via US 70 and took 56 North and that was a great scenic ride in itself.
Ok I will quit rambling. I hope everyone had a safe weekend.
Spent the past 2.5 days in eastern Kentucky. Beautiful weather and great roads. The fall colors need about two weeks, but the weekend wasn't wasted!
We had an awesome wknd out of Tellico
Rode 250 miles saturday to Highlands NC and some local stuff today. Picked up some sandwiches and had lunch from "IN" the river up from Bald River Falls.
