I've never even seen the Puckett's at Franklin, but am still a huge fan of the one in Leiper's Fork. I'll go out of my way to get by there. Hell, I might even call it my favorite as semi-local hangouts go. They gots cold drinks, spectacular food, and great atmosphere. There are those days when tourons seem to invade, but they're usually pretty damn tolerable. Hell, I prefer the tourons over road bicyclists. I just wanna go around there some days handing out 'share the road' flyers to the bicyclists :lol3. And maybe muffler suggestions for the days when it gets thick with pirate ships :puke1

I'm through L-F all the time. It's just a few miles from home. But I rarely stop @ Puckett's. More of a circus atmosphere that I usually enjoy.

the one if Franklin it next to Merridee's, where the old book store used to be. Across from the new courthouse. In fact, I think it used to be a bicycle shop at one point. (Oh and of course, "it was once a civil war hospital"...the typical Franklin claim.)

There's Dotson's in Franklin, by the river, just off the square. Cash only. It's good country cooking but if you eat there......better bring some TP in your camelback

Dodson's. A grubby little breakfast joint...but good. Old school diner. It's one of those, "ya either like it hate" it ones.
It used to be one of those places where you might see a celeb. But now the Cheryl Crowe's of the world seem to favor Sol. Not bad either, just a little $$$.

Good Texas BBQ in Brentwood (they've been in locations all around Nashville). Judge Beans.

Or there's always his brothers place in Franklin, Mickey Roo's. That is actually a very bike friendly place with outdoor seating. It's on Columbia near Franklin High School. Usually bands in the evenings (or at least on Friday and Saturday nights).

...then there are the catfish places.
the one on hwy 100 as you're rolling into Centerville (from Fairview).

Or the one on just off of River Road just before you roll into Ashland City on 249 at the river.

Don't think that one's bounced back from the flood yet - I'll have to swing by & confirm. I'm sure they had water to the rafters over there!

The Bell Buckle Cafe is my favorite. Don't pass up the red beans & rice. Not open for breakfast or on Sundays. They always have desserts.

The more I think of it, the more I think that the real down-home mom-n-pop's are going to be closed on Sunday evenings.
How are weekdays for food and weekends for riding with everyone? Just throwin' it out there...

Well, that was the plan, but maybe not...

just called to check and the deli closes at 2 PM on Sundays. Store is open but no food after 2.

    Any other suggestions?

Howzabout the Santa Fe Diner for breakfast Sunday morning at 8, kickstands up at 9, ride Hickman County until ihatefalling floods his bike, then meet at the Beacon Light Tea Room at 4 for dinner? You know after a hard day of dirt riding in the hills, woods and creeks of hillbilly country there is nothing better than a cup of hot tea and biscuits with a side of Jesus.

Ridden by the Beacon Light many, many-a-time. For whatever reason, I had painted that into a little old lady hangout and have discounted it. Maybe it was the Beacon Light "Tea Room" that turned me off.
    Any good?

    Another suggestion.
    Soda-pop Junction in Lynnville, TN.

    Ah never mind...
