Good Times! I agree, Lets plan another ride, Preferably a warmer weekend haha, damn it was chilly! I was unfortunately super tight on time and wish I rode the M22 with ya all. But yea, It was a fun ride home, I hit up a couple seasonal 2-tracks around White Cloud. Charged (and got coffee) in Mesick, then stopped at Newaygo Brewing for a bit to warm up and re-charge, they have amazing food and Beer FYI.
Had a great time as always everyone! I'm definitely down for doing this again in the dummer.
One of these has gone to the dark side...
There will be plenty more opportunities for sure this summer. Will keep you in the loop.
They have 13 miles of M-22 torn up North of Glen Arbor this year.A giant traffic jam.So might want to consider that on your next ride up here.
Hey guys - guess who I'm with right now.... (out in Colorado)
Rob says "HI" to all you from the forum!
He cooked us some killer pork loin and asparagus on the grill.
Sing to Him who rides across the heavens, his mighty voice thundering from the sky Ps 68:33
Yo! ... Rob is indeed a maestro of the grill!
Yeah - I told him he should start a side business "Meals on 2 wheels"
Planning to do another Camp & Ride at CycleMoore July 14, 15 & 16.
Friday will be a 50/50 ride starting in Newaygo about 10:00am and finishing at CycleMoore Friday Eve.
Saturday will be a street ride following curvy back roads up to St. Ignace for lunch at Clyde's.
Sunday will be a 50/50 ride in Sleeping Bear Dunes, Leelanau County and heading south on the way back home to Holland.
PM me if you want the meet-up spot in Newaygo for Friday morning.
What a good good night. Glad the loin turned out ok.
Crap... I just installed my fast charger, but I'm going camping with the Wife & dog up at the Straits St. Park that same weekend.
If we do a Fall time one lets set a date soon that way I can keep the weekend clear.
I scouted some more Seasonal Roads and two-tracks in Oceana County, here are a few pics of what to expect on the Friday 50/50 ride when we meet up in Newaygo @ 10:00am:
Hope to make this camp & ride. I sold my 400 KTM and one of the CRF's and bought a DRZ. I need an experienced DRZ owner to ride it and give me an opinion. I suspect the transmission is knackered. It shifts fine riding at normal/light rpm's (putzing along), but wants to hang up in 3rd & 4th when shifting under full load. (high rpm power shifting) Possible bent shift fork? Hoping to go look at an XT 250 for Tammy this afternoon. The price is right and the pics look good. If it checks out, we'll bring it home.
Dang it. I'll be in Newberry that weekend on a dualsport ride.
