I can get almost 6 in the tank, plus i can carry 4 gallons in starbucks coffee bladders down low in the panniers and if I had to
I could probably strap a couple more to my back and 5 gallons in the milk basket and I get 55mpg reasonably loaded
minus the gas, so I reckon if I'm not towing I could get halfway to Pokeppsie. What's this " twist the fun handle too much you speak of?" YMMV:D:DKYSHO

Maybe OP meant Million Dollar Hwy - 550 between Ouray and Durango?
It's dry and cold down this way today....
I think the mountains got a little bit of precip during the week. Probably snow.

Nice! If you loaded all of that on board I wonder what would weigh more.. the fuel or the bike? :rofl
You'd probably want to avoid open flames :eek1 :photog

My 13 gallons is just in my main tanks without adding aux fuel.. and that adds something like 80 lbs to the bike. :patch

How would you feel about being our official super-tanker for this years Dinosaur Run? :D

Can you tell I'm sitting here waiting for a client's server to finish an all night task so I can get some upgrades done? :ddog

Ride to work this morning 15 degrees and snowing and the roads are a sheet of ice. About 8 inches of snow in my yard since yesterday morning but I am down low at 7,300'.

Blue skies in Durango right now. It's been nice the last few days and predicted in the 60s by Friday. Most of the snow is all but gone. We haven't had snow on the ground for maybe 2-3 weeks? I don't know about Silverton though. It's really windy though. 40+ mph winds that'll knock you right over.
