Just returned home in Texas a couple of weeks ago after spending over 2 months in Grand Marais. Fall looks beautiful, we just missed it. Love that area .Unfortunately, have never had my GS there.

I love Northern MN , especially after mosquito season!
So, was there a consensus on which of the bikes was best suited for the terrain up there?
(let's say for 6'2" tall, somewhat overweight guy such as myself? ;-)

We didn't get on any road that you couldn't take a Gold Wing down on this ride, with the exception of a few hundred feet of trail up Mount Maude. So the DR350 was probably most suited to this ride. But really anything works. Given your height, the 200s might feel a little short. Any of those bikes would be fine on the fire roads and logging trails.
