    Here we go again.

Plus it's the 5th year for the ride.

Cinco de Bridge-o....or something like that :lol3

We'll run last year's route - works out the best.

    Tracks are here....

Start in St. Clair, MO like last year and run it backwards. See below for the Friday night Hotel info. Folks can leave their trucks there for the weekend if they are staying there on Friday night. Biscuits and gravy for breakfast in the morning to get you going.

Make sure you have someone to ride with that has a GPS....also Self sufficiency is the Key to Success....tubes, tools, GPS, Maps, snorkels, etc.....

Here's some historic info on the bridges:

    Here's the previous year's rides...

    2008 Ride http://www.advrider.com/forums/showt...light=Missouri

    2009 Ride http://www.advrider.com/forums/showt...light=Missouri

I think last year was one of the best rides. What a great group of people. I laughed pretty darn hard hearing the stories from all of the groups on the ride Saturday. Hopefully everyone can take that Bald Knob track that goes south of Bunker....it's the best part of the trip.

Sticker is in the making. Too many good pictures from last year....Hmmmm - which one did I choose for the design? :scratch......:evil

Stay safe and dry this year........:deal

    Friday Night Hotel- May 4th
    Budget Lodging
    866 S I-44 Outer Road
    St. Clair, MO
    636-629-1000

Mention the ride when you make reservations.

Saturday Night Hotel - May 5th
Best Western. Phone number is 573-336-4299
When you call them make sure you get $12 off if you mention the ride. You can cancel 24 hours in advance if you can't make the ride.

For those that want to camp - here's the link http://www.layzday.com/

There is also a primitive camp spot as a waypoint in the file.

and ribs at the Elbow Inn :dg.

Fuel Stops.....I would make sure you have a 130 mile range.

Sunday you have to stop at the Church Picnic in St. Anthony. If you leave about 7:30am or so from the hotel....it works out to get there when they open at 11:00 am....Fried Chicken, roast Beef, all the fixins, and Pie.

    Let's see who's in. I'll keep track.
I'll meet you in St. Robert at the Hotel with stickers.......so I can hear the stories :thumb

3rd year in a row that prior plans are preventing this for me. 1st 2 were work and this year it's the Knoxville half Ironman. Moving to connecticut in Jun so I guess it was meant for me never to ride this.

Unfortunately I can't do the ride on the proper weekend. I am moving to Ft Richardson, Anchorage, Alaska, but will be doing it the 1st or 2nd weekend in April if there is someone who can't do it in May wants to take along. I will be starting from the mid point and returning to Ft Leonard Wood spending the night at the start point hotel on Saturday night. Basicly Sundays ride and then Saturdays ride, Saturday and Sunday if you understand. Most likely Easter weekend. I have a four day weekend and that gives me two weeks to clean the bike for shipping.

How difficult is the ride? Would it be suitable for a returning rider? I've looked at the threads from years past and it looks like a nice weekend ride unless there is above average rainfall. If it rains then the watercrossings look a little tough.

You will be fine. Even if we do get rain and the water crossings are high you can go around them. There is not anything on this ride that is not doable. I am still tossing around the idea of riding the Tenere this year and it will still have the 90/10 tires on it.

Join us you will have a lot of fun and meet a lot of good people.

Most of it is not to bad and there is almost always a bypass if it gets crazy. I rode in 2010 on a Ulysses with less than a year of offroad riding. What do you plan on riding?

What are your 90/10 tires? The Scorpion Trails aren't bad on gravel and last a long time.

I will be riding my used but well cared for '03 KLR650. It is mostly stock with just a few accessories like pegs, Moose shifter, aluminum skid plate, larger front rotor and stainless brake lines. And the dohicky.

I'll post this up again----it's on the route------and there are many more not as wide--but deep sometimes----depends
