    Sieg,
I'd be happy to help. But it's all about timing. If I can be there, I'd be happy to help in any way.

    1) Do you want to do it at the MTRA club grounds near Bixby? That's perfect.
    2) How much would you pay for this training? <$300
    3) How long, 1 day or 2? Probably 2 days.
    4) When? Spring 2018. Planning long trip in June so before that would be great.
    5) Interested in helping? Sure.
    6) Camping on site or motel? Motel most likely.
    7) Meals supplied? No preference.
    8) Any other concerns? Just that there would be a total beginner group for us noobs.

Update: Discussions are leading toward this.
March, 2 full days for $400, 2 lunches, 1 breakfast, 1 dinner, 3 nights camping included, (optional motel near by at your cost) beginners to well experienced could learn from this, as there would lots of personal involvement with the trainer, because he's looking at 10 or so students. And I'm sure it the interest is there he would do a second class at another date.

Very similar to the Training put on by Gateway BMW in Cost and whats included. I went through the Gateway training, and I thought they did a good job of creating groups by experience level, assigning a lead, and running the groups through training stations, with this approach you can have more people. Any thought of trying to get some dealerships to help sponsor, maybe some vendors to help instruct on how to tune the bike/suspension?

For 10 people it's not cost effect for venders to set up. We have a hard time getting them interested at events with 100 entrants. (Shock Zone has supported us in the past though, and has been very good with sponsorship, and on sight with info. If this flies I'll invite him) I think this trainer can help with suspension too, he's and old x-racer. It will probably be a notch above Honz's training days, probably a few more scenarios.

Nice Sieg! Got in lost creek, massas creek, callaway creek, and various other backroads today. 244 miles with a nail flat on massas. Side of the road patch job. Just back. Left at 7:30, back at 5:30. Who shops on black friday.
Now need to buy more rubber adhesive for the patch kit.

Also interested. Lived in Colorado for 18 years and almost exclusively rode the highways in the Rocky Mountains. Absolutely no complaints. Moved back to Nebraska and got into riding the gravel roads on a DR650. Mostly just a grid pattern. Retired, moved to Missouri, and want to learn to ride actual offroad.

The price is very reasonable for 10 participants depending on the trainer. Can you please provide information on the trainer?

As stated in a previous post. If and when the MTRA and a trainer get a date, insurance and other finer details worked out. I will hook anybody interested up with the trainer and you will all one on one deal with him, I'll be out of it. No point in 25 people bugging him before he has anything to go with. He's a pro, not joe want to be, this is his business, not a sideline.

Hello all I host the annual Rally at the Mines ORV event at St. Joe state park. The past years have been primarily an atv and sxs event. This year however we are in the works with the Missouri Mudders to bring some motorcycle events to the event. I would be willing to work something like this into the event under its insurance if that would help with cost. The event is on April 14th and 15th. Camping is unfortunately already booked. So lodging would have to be figured out. I am not trying to through to many wrenches in the box just wanted to offer it. Since I was fallowing the post. Organizers are free to pm me with any questions.

I'm always in for a ride. What type ride/event are you thinking about? The Mudders are primarily an off road bunch. So something in the park, off road Hare Scramble, Poker Run, Enduro? Or a Dual Sport or ADV Ride outside the park?

We are working out details with the mudders for a enduro style poker run of some sort to be conjunction with the event. I already have to carry a $2million policy for the event. I was simply offering the venue for the training event if holding it at mtra didn't work out.

Once I get details lined out on the mudders I will get the event advertised since a lot of us ride dirt and adv.
