Sorry, I don't know how to re-post other's previous posts to reply to. Thanks Sieg. That spring and mill is a special place. That's cool that you used to be able to ride through there to Peola Rd. Did you ever ride at Ringo Springs when they were open in the mid 70s right off Hwy. J down the road from my property? A 75 mile ADV two track route sounds fun. I've got an F800GSA also. WE rode about 65 miles of two track with Link and some guys last month down to some caves in Shannon County but on dirt bikes. Maybe some of the same as your loop? It is hard to beat the single track, two track, forest roads, county gravel roads, and banked paved twisties of SEMO!

Jowannab, I like the Grand Prix pin! I didn't run it until I was 30 years old in '97. Yeah, dodging guys coming down those chat hills is pretty nuts.

Thanks Scrat Attack a.k.a. Crazy Mike on the Motorbike.

No 2degreesout, it does look like Seth from Crusty Demons but it was just my crazy friend Scrat Attack.

No problem GotFog. I'm glad you were interested and enjoyed it. We got the lead to win two world wars from that area and it was important during the civil war for the same reason. Besides that, it was a kick ass place to ride.

Well, I tried today but fell short. My plan was to wander south from Washington, then from Sullivan take into 185 to Potosi. From there Southwest to MTNF, get to Lesterville for fuel, and then Centerville for the Mill. I started late, and got to 185 and N, I think it was, and took a break on the side of the road. Broke out the thermos to warm up. But my coffee just couldn't cut the cold. I decided, after about 100 miles to abort and headed home. Damn. Beautiful day though.

Not much time left this year, and i probably need to table the GS for yearly maintenance. So, may have to bow out of MO tag till later.

Think I owe Seig lunch too, as I doubt I can get to that Buzzard Road you spoke of. I might have found it though on Google Earth. Just running out of time in December.

Hope someone can get the Mill tag.

I give you an "A" for effort. It may sit for awhile with the weather turning colder but maybe that's better. I hope the rider that gets the grab is warm enough to enjoy the miles of paved twisties (or endless windy gravel roads if they choose) that are everywhere in that area.
