My set and mode buttons are starting to act up.
Sometimes I have to press the button or buttons 10 or 12 times before it will work.
I like to reset my mileage every time I refuel. (Often on this bike)
Has anyone taken one of these things apart to clean the contacts or something.

In the 950, i had the remote button group and the information on the dash wash going crazy, often pressing the buttons on the dash would not do anything. It was one of the buttons on the remote that was stuck pressed and messed up everything...

Unfortunatly couldn't be fixed... broken pcb

unscrew the 4-bolt housing and do a little troubleshooting. Its a pretty basic setup. You might just need a little silicone spray on the rubber buttons. Good luck.

I also had this problem, only on the "Mode" button.

I was about to install the "Rally" tripmaster switch on handle bar when I decided to remove the 4 screws.

I sprayed some Q20 on the contacts of the switch and then the "mode" was back working again, I was amazed. So yes sometimes it is as simple as to spray some contact cleaner on the switch.
