Nice to see another R1150R rider.. You have a really great looking machine there.

Mine is an 04'. I love the thing.. Sure it's not as Off Road ready as some of it's siblings but it's never let me down.

The mechanical bits sound interesting; do you think the head work was worth the money? Do the other bits seem to markedly improve the performance? The paint job is interesting but maybe a bit much for a Beemer (for me). But, what the hell do I know? I once saw an R1150R with WWII Luftwaffe markings including airbrushed panels and rivets, insigna and other arcane aircraft bits and I thought it was the best custom paint job I'd ever seen.

Enjoy the Roadster; it's a hell of a "do it all" motorcycle.

C-J, your right, I bought the bike from paul (excellent guy to do business with), Spider-eyes, don't know whether the original owner thought the engine work was worth the money, the receipts for work done certainly add up to several hundred pounds, but it sure takes off in the lower gears, handling is pretty good with the ohlins and steering damper. current mileage recorded is only 7500miles, for what I paid for it I think I got a bargain,
    cheers all,
    Ron

Ron, what type of steering damper do you have installed? Any pictures? Your pic links in the OP aren't working.

    Thanks,
