Can anyone give me a recent update on this place. The missus and I are planning to ride it tomorrow. We are riding 2up on an overloaded Tiger 800. 1000 miles from home is no place to get hung up.

Same question about Fossil Creek Trail

the rim rd, or FS300 is a great rd for your bike. you'll enjoy the scenery from the egde of the rim.

fossil creek trail, the dirt rd from strawberry to camp verde via fossil creek? its fine as well, a few sections to slow down for but nothing hair raising.

I have ridden it a couple of times in the past couple of years and found that as one gets closer to Show Low mainenance falls off some.

There has been one long section with deep ruts that were a little difficult to ride.
If you rode outside the ruts you could end up in the ditch eventually. And if you tried to ride in the middle, you were kiind of screwed if a vehicle came the other direction.

Then there was some nasty deep lava rock in the last several miles before Show Low.

Drove it in a Tahoe about a month ago. Could have driven it with a Miata.

Have fun and post pics when you get back. :thumb

20% were the bitch when they served a previous prion sentance

the deed is done and we had a great ride. The road is in excellent condition. No ruts or bad spots at all. I think the rain was just enough to keep the dust down. and while it certainly would fun in that monster, I think a regular Miata would get the job done
