in July I have 2 months off work and meeting my drz in Ulaanbaatar for an adventure. Rough route at the moment is gobi desert , western Mongolia altai region of Russia, Kazakhstan kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan as much offroad as possible . Questions are for timing will this be to ambitious or will I be looking to travel further should I get more visas now ? Im planning on leaving my bike with someone in Dushanbe and returning next summer to continue on to europe . Has anyone done this will this be an iussue when leaving Tajikistan a year later with the bike? Any contacts to leave the bike with ? Cheers Will.

Good advice. Thank you. I am in the very early stages of planning a similar trip (China/Russia through Mongolia, the 'stans, and then through Europe, or maybe the reverse.) This is very helpful.
