Anyone up for riding dirt bikes on Sat? While the pea green forest service trucks are closing in on my little dual sport nivarna, there are still some trails to ride without getting arrested.

How about Sat 8/29 at 10:30am at the Montebello store on 56?

I'll be the one in the orange jumpsuit, to make it easier for processing by the dept of homeland security agents.

Planning on about 100 miles mostly off-road. Shoe Creek, Indian Creek, Big Levels, etc.....

knobbies and a bash plate highly recommended

    Mtnflow,

You got a new orange bike? Maybe we need to have a big orange pumpkin rally at Montebello when the leaves are turning??

The last time I did this ride on the 950SE I was wasted tired the next day. 400lbs + 100hp + single track = fatigue

I'm riding the tiny 450 this weekend. Feels like a minibike after the 9fiddy!

Yeah, I bought rider929's 990 in april. I've put 6,000 miles on it so far.

I just checked the valves, installed new plugs, air filter, oil change, and flushed the radiator. I also finally swapped out the stock trottle tube for the 400, big difference. I'm good to go...somewhere. I'm sticking to FS roads on this pig, I'm keeping the drz for the single track. But then again, I never know where I'm going to end up.

    Mtnflow,

Beautiful bike. Love the Barber shot. I'm planning a trip down there for the Spring AMA race. I love that place.

We'll get the orange beasts together soon.

I wouldn't do it after a rain. Shoe Creek is slick as eel snot on a wet day. With that being said I might be in for a nice ride Sunday :pot

Been good. Traveling too much. Traded my BMW GS Adventure to Ted for
950 SE. Ready to do some off-road riding now. I'll give it a go without knobbies as long as it isn't too muddy. Or I can just take it easy...:rofl

How you doin' Steve? Do you have another Super Enduro?

Let's ride sometime soon if not this weekend.

The weather's not looking good this weekend. 50% chance of rain on Sat.

I'm thinking the long drive from Ric is not worth the chance and I'm not motivated to ride in the rain.

Sorry to work this up and bail, but I think I'm out for Sat. Too much rain.

    Hey G,
How goes it? Enjoyed talking with you all down at VIR. Was some good racing.

I see you said you may take a spring trip to Barber for the AMA race. Will that be on the bikeS? I might be interested in riding along if you do a bike trip.

Sorry to hear you're not riding this weekend...i will watch for future posts of rides...or who knows where i will run into you next...hehehe:lol3

Doing well. No SE in the stable for me right now. I do have an 04 Adv S though. And a K1200S.

I am out this weekend too. Got to move some furniture to Richmond to get on the truck heading to Georgia for Paige.

Would love to get together for a ride soon.

Yeah Ed! If all goes right tomorrow I'll be picking up an 03 DRZ400E with an aftermarket tank, and all the usual DRZ modifications. I think I'm going to like the large tank. The stock fuel range on the dirtbikes are terrible. I remember riding the Terrapin trails a while ago from Buena Vista to the trails for an hour or so and I coasted to Big Island for gas. I have you cell phone so I'll give you a call so we might be able to hook up for a ride soon!
