Catch a foot on the curb and you will stop doing that..
Europe,(or maybe Oz)probably where they ride on the left side of road.
Nothing I see out of the ordinary.
at low speed I sharp corners, on wet tarmak, when you think you may loose traction.
Maybe he is just standing still. Holding the bike up and to the right with his right leg. Using photoshop you can make a 1/2" gap on the boot sole and blur the backround.
Or.... it just sells more bikes making it look all motardy.
As we can see on pictures, the pegs position and riding position is closer to the SuperDuke than the SM or SMR.
On a motocross or Supermotard, when entering a corner you move your entire body forward and put the inside leg and foot parallele to the forks trying to load the front as much as possible.
He also appears to be looking at the curb instead of down the road, which means he's about to crash.
That's why they make this one:
Plan B . . . Convert a SM to SMT:
you still have this converted 950?
It is my baby . . . Now with a winter windshield:
Like all 950/990 SM(T)'s
But they score way high on the funscale, i'd rather ride an SM(T) then any other badass looking streetbikebike on the market.
Same deal with the crotch rockets, the BMW looks not as good to other supersports. But the thing is 100x more fun to ride.
To me riding is about the pleasure, not the posing. I don't find my Adventure 950 very attractive. If people say it's ugly i can't disagree on that.
But when i get on or off it the thing feels so awesome in my hands, the big and heavy hooligan steed has the best potential and most riding sensation of all adventure and touring bikes out there.
THAT is why i ride it. It's basically the reason why i ride KTM, no other brand makes riding so fun.
On slow corners with a slippery surface, yes. Fast corners are always 'kiss the mirror' hang-offs. I always lean with my upperbody towards the turn and then let the bike follow.
I'm down near Fayetteville, with a SMT. We need to take them up to the mountains this spring!
Not a lot of SM T 990 pics here, let me add one.
Nice looking bike McMann. They didn't make anything in the way of a skid plate
/chin spoiler when I had my SM, where did you get that?
