I remember when you sold me jugs and slugs.
I don't remember you having a piss pot attitude about the transaction... like this guy.

Quote- YOU ARE LOOKING AT WHAT I THINK IS R50 ,R60 OR R69 CYLINDERS. NO BROKEN FINS. LOOK VERY THICK, MOST LIKLY STD BORE.. I HAVE OTHER EARLY BMW PARTS FROM THIS ENGINE SO SEE MY OTHER AUCTIONS. NO BUY IT NOW .. LOOK AT PICS , NO RESERVE , NO RETURNS. I WILL COMBINE SHIPPING WHEN POSSIBLE.

ALL SALES ARE FINAL NO RETURNS SO KNOW WHAT YOU ARE BIDDING ON AND ASK QUESTIONS. I CAN'T SPEND MY MONEY TO SHIP PARTS ALL OVER THE WORLD FOR INSPECTION , THAT IS WHAT THE PICTURES ARE FOR SO LOOK AT THEM AND READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE ASKING QUESTIONS !! IF YOU HAVE A "SHOW BIKE" DON'T BUY USED PARTS BECAUSE THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS AND NO RETURNS !! IF YOU ARE A WHINER OR A CRY BABY IN GENERAL, DO NOT BID. OVER SEAS BIDDERS ARE WELCOME BUT IF A ITEM COST OVER $150 IT MUST SHIP UPS OR YOU MUST HAVE A US ADDERSS. SHIPPING COST FOR OVER SEAS SHIPPING IS GETING VERY HIGH SO REMEMBER THIS WHEN BIDDING. IF IT IS A LARGE OR HEAVY ITEM IT WILL BE MORE EXPENSIVE. I AM NOT GOING TO ARGUE AND HAGGLE ABOUT SHIPPING COST:boid

What scares the FUCK outta me is that some dumb-ass ACTUALLY bid over a grand on that mess. I don't care if it is a /2,
all it is at this stage of the game is a $100.00 lawn sculpture.( As Blaine said.)
And yes I DID call someone I don't know a "dumb-ass". If you're that guy and you take offense, wellllll......it is what it is.:lol3

What is distressing is that it "Sold For: US $1,495.00". Bad thing is that paying that much for a POS sets a bad precedent.

Wonder when the buyer will show up here for resto help? :lol3

This bombed-out /2 was too much. At $1500, I wonder if someone wasn't just joking, or an audience shill... :eek1

Hey Bill how about starting a thread with those pics, and calling it "When BMWs Morph into Yard Art" or something of that nature?
I am too old and stubborn to try and learn yet another way to post pictures to this forum since the easy method was yanked last year.

I'm re-porpoising it as a weathervane atop my new garage; we get some stiff winds.

At least it HAS an exhaust system, unlike that poor G/S from a few years ago.

so I admit I am not that familiar with the G/S bikes. But a bike wiht less than 20k on it, is it normal to have the forks rebuilt and the final drive resealed and new shoes ?
Not trying to be funny or sound stupid or anything, just curious
not curious in buying or anything, just curious of the life span of the G/S
then again , maybe its the age, not the miles
