Thanks for the look at the Atlas Mountains.
it was just a glimpse of them.
they run almost all the country, from north to south.
so the lanscapes and vegetations can be quite different.
I love mountains so I'm more than happy in the Atlas.
In France, we have "les Pyrénées" and "les Alpes". great but it's not anymore easy to go with the bike.
Very nice ride and report about the F800GS
Mais je savais que c´était vous!!! I knew I had read your report a couple of months ago, man!
And my mate and I, we have to admit that we took your ride as some kind of source of inspiration - thanks for the great report!
So, when is the next ride planned to Morocco?
Jean "The Rob" Luc
Awesome report on both the area and the bikes! I am planning one next year and was looking at the 800 myself. Maybe I will wait to get one that someone else has sorted out first, as I like to ride offroad more than road also. Or maybe I should just convert my Hypermotard for offroad use since it won at pikes peak?
Great reports, thanks for information about F800GS !
What kind of GPS and maps have you used in Morocco ? I plan to be there someday :) and after your report I know that I have to go there.
@ Jean Luc.
der nächsten Reise ?
It may be in May next year..........
GPS were :
garmin gpsmap 276C - mine
garmin 76csx - christian
Map is the free map from Oleg's.
A must read is Tim Cullis's Morocco GS Knowledgebase
you'll find all the info about everything, maps included.
And with a bit of luck, you can even cross the path of the man in Morocco !
I hadn't the chance so far to pay a beer to Tim.....
Next time..... who knows.
Thank You kktos !
In May next year maybe you want to participate in this one.
After all, you only got coffee last time.
If you like Italian food, that is.
There are at least 30 days in a month
Funny, coz at the end, my mate sold his 800GS.
He wasn't able to do anything to have a fork he likes.
The Ohlins helps a bit the bike nevertheless.
But the EFI was too much like ON/OFF for him.
And guess what...... he bought a Africa Twin !
He did some tuning on it.....
Big tank, new exhaust (slimer), new rear shock higher, change the fork to be higher too. 794cc. black.... and other things I forgot.
He's now happy.
thanks so much --INCREDIBLE pictures from what looked like a great trip.
