The DC Vintage BMW club is working to get as many older BMWs (loosely defined as airheads and pre-mid-90s K bikes) as possible for an "older BMW" show at Mortons Open House on April 16, 2005 9AM - 4PM. We currently have an R35, R51/3, R75/5 w/ Velorex 562, R69S, R75/5, R60/5, R60, and R60US. A few of these bikes are trailer queens, but most are ridden regularly. Your bike doesn't have to be a show bike - hose it off and come on down!

I suppose newish (though dirty!) oilheads with a goodly amount of miles and leaky rear shocks need not apply.

I'll be there on the first-year (November '69) /5, and we hope this will be the debut of Meredith's R51/3.

There will be a row of vintage bikes - don't just park out in the parking lot somewhere!

I'll check with SWMBO to see if she wants to bring her short-frame toaster down.

Event is 9AM to 4PM. That said, show up when you want to, and leave when you want to. If you get there midday and there is a big crowd, just don't run anybody over and if anybody official looking flags you down asay you're part of the vintage bike show.

Event is 9AM to 4PM this Saturday. Weather forecast is 60 degrees and partly sunny. If you show up on an airhead or pre-1995 K bike, come on over and park with us! You don't have to get there at 9AM or stay all day. Remember - wash and polish your bike so I'll have the grubbiest bike and win the grubbiest bike award!

We'll be there with Janet's Granada Red SWB 1973 R75/5 toaster, "Melba".

It has ~18,000 miles, is unrestored and is for sale.
