Looked like Jorge was a bit pissed, wins the race and Rossi get all the adulation..Pedrosas new found confidence must have taken a beating, he'll have to get his confidence back quickly.

Couldn't have asked for a better first race! Now if all the riders can just stay healty the rest of the year, who could ask for more?

Well, if Rossi quals better and stops making impetuos rookie moves on the opening lap, then the brass at Yamaha might be asking for a 5 gallon bucket of antacid. But screw them! :lol3

Wasn't Rossi turning quicker laps most of the race? :evil

Why did Crutchlow run off when Rossi came by? I was looking to see if Rossi pushed him wide or something, but it was not apparent, looked like a clean pass.

Whatever the case - that was an exciting race to watch!

Well if one race is any indication of the state of MotoGP then JLo = Amazingly fast, Rossi = hasn't lost a single step, and Ducati = a disaster on wheels that should pull out of MotoGP and focus on World Super Bike. Seriously, Ducati unless Audi is going to cough up some serious R&D cash, stop embarrassing yourself in MotoGP and go back to focusing on World Super Bike!

I think CC just over-cooked a corner trying to hang on to VR. He said he just made a mistake. Great race by him anyway. Seems clear the Yamaha owns the corners and the Honda has the power.

Not even close, look at the lap-by-lap analysis he turned 7 laps faster than Lorenzo and only after Lorenzo had checked out. I am not at all a Lorenzo fan, but I do not think he is too nervous.

A harder fought and more well deserved 2nd place finish, just doesn't come to mind.

Welcome back Vale, and as others have already said, you were never gone in the first place. :rayof :thumb

    Spectacular ! :clap

IIRC, Misano was a race of attrition. Today he was like the hunter, and I would state that if the little incident that set him back a few places did not occur, he would have battled Jorge for the win.

Lots more to come. A hungry Rossi with confidence and a good bike will be a contender:clap

There was so much sand blown onto the track that if you strayed off the racing line you couldn't brake without loosing the front, the rear or both, Crutchlow was in the dirty area and had to carry on to the run off area before rejoining, if he had tried to brake and turn in he would have definitely wiped out.

Yeah, that race pretty much ruled. Sure we had a front runner check out but the rest of it was WHOA. Rossi's over cooked turn on Dovi putting him way back there. Coming back through all of that. MM's re-pass on Rossi was OHHHH SHIIIITTTTT, and very clean. As was Rossi's repass. Owned. Then when some might speculate that Dovi was now going to be Ducati's golden boy and make the bike go fast no matter what, finishes less than a second in front of Hayden.

Yeah, Ducati has to get something going on. Make some effing changes to the huge turd you know already doesn't WORK FOR ANY RIDER. Oof.

It is too bad Cal suckered himself into that. It would have been great to see what scraps he could have picked up.

I hope he learns from it.

Thank GOD the race went that way.

GREAT racing today, and I'm really hoping that we'll even see fights over FIRST place in the next couple of rounds.

I bought a video pass and that multi screen stuff was really slick. Just an all around good time.

A bit better qualifying, a mistake less, and I believe Rossi will have some battles with Lorenzo for the front.

Today I feel we saw a great example of Rossi's race craft. Made a huge mistake, but sorted it out and patiently got himself up to second. A great start to the season.
