Pedrosa was pogo-ing a lot on the flyer -- it was a lot faster than any of his other laps and it looked like he was close to losing it. Things are still close pace-wise between 26 and 93.

Kinda. MM steps the back out routinely, but Pedrosa doesn't look comfortable with the bike moving all over the place. I think that's where his size is a handicap.

90% of the slow-mo shots are boring, but the one with MM moving across the bike while the front is in the air crossed up, then bringing it down while it's still crossed up to initiate turn-in -- that was beautiful.

Edit: ha, that said, here's one of Pedrosa doing a milder version (turn 2?): http://youtu.be/KXqe7x-_cyk?t=1m7s

Yea, I just meant MM is usually looser and a bit more on the edge when he puts down his fast laps whereas DP is a little more composed. It seems like DP needs to get closer to the edge more often.

And why does Dani need to say "up yours" to HRC exactly? What did they do to wrong him?

I have to chuckle at the Dani fans going on about him getting "fired up" against MM and saying "Up Yours" to HRC. :norton

Dani is effectively out of his 8th straight premier class MotoGP championship. And that fact alone would seem to preclude him or Alberto getting too mouthy with HRC about a small engineering oversight on their part.

But hey. Keep bringing the funny! :lol3

FP2 was a good one old DP got it working. Rossi in there for a bit, then Cal pulled one out. Nice one!

Interesting FP3 with threats of rain and light sprinkles throughout.

Several riders were still able to improve their times.

The Harsh Mistress claims Bradl and he was having a fast weekend too.

Rossi looks good for a podium finish. Problem is, so do 4 other riders.

Marc Marquez! Damn is that kid talented. Unbelievable.

What about the damn grass anyway? Bradl would have been fine if there wouldn't have been any grass!

Rossi laughed when he was told that, he had a big moment too, nearly lost it. When the track was wet he was top of the sheet by a long way, then in the closing seconds held pole for about 2 seconds before MM did his thing.

Matthew Birt , from twitter

"Maybe HRC could put their test rider on Bradl's bike if he's not fit for Australia. Oh hang on, that's now Casey Stoner"

Bad design of the sensor/wire, and bad programming of ECU in case of sensor malfunction.

DP had surely done his part by crashing @ Sachsenring, but despite that he still had a good shot at the title, until HRC effectively screwed him. It was a bizarre incident, yes, but it's the factory's job to make sure something as stupid as this doesn't happen. Remember, Tomizawa and Jones were killed, when they suddenly went down in front of others, who could not avoid hitting them. It's really no joke, when somebody suddenly highsides in the middle of the race. I hope we are done with crashes as avoidable as this one.

edit. AND some of their engineers had warned about the possibility of this way back, but they did nothing.
