Re the good old days when the GP scene was more loose, I'm struck by the time Mamola was on the Cagiva and wouldn't both to race, just showboat with slides and wheelies, while occasionally crashing the bike. I'm not sure it was a good thing that he could get away with that and not be fired the moment he returned to the paddock.

I really would like a Rossi-Biaggi movie. Not only because of who they were but in the way they polarised the paddock and fans. Way more than the current crop of challengers to the GoaT crown.

    Nice one as always @Kropotkin

Listening to FP1 live. So, Vinales has built a stop and go bike? And Zarco is on it.

Vinales .5 ahead of everyone else in FP1, really impressive and he looks like he can do it all day long.:clap

Sure looks like they did make it, Nice! Hope he keeps it up all weekend, it'll turn out to be interesting. Marquez needs to up his game this time around.

New bumps all throughout the track this year. Marquez said he followed Zarco (?) on a lap & said the Yam isn't nearly as unstable over them.

I keep thinking about the article that Spies was quoted in at the beginning of the year about MM making the Honda way too stiff to try and suit his riding... I wonder if hes finally steered the development of that bike to the point that not even he can ride it.

During the first practice, I noticed all the bumps unsettling the bikes.
Seems like the track could use some overhaul to smooth it out.
It should be a great race, looks like the usual suspects are on the pace,
and I bet Rossi will find some speed for the race as he usually does.
Lorenzo has found a bit of something, and Zarco is there as well.

Marquez top in FP2 that's not a surprise, but top Yamaha is Zarco in 2nd!

But MV didn't use soft tires at all. I am sure he left with time in his pocket... Maybe a lot of time.

Wonder what Maverick would do on that soft tires like Marc or Zarco?

Looking like good conditions all weekend, which will be good for a straight up battle on Sunday. :clap

It was hot here today supposed to be 20 degrees cooler tomorrow and Sunday. I wonder how much of a difference that will make. My first MotoGP race. These bikes sound fantastic.

Two Vinales hats out of six people. After what happened at the end of 2015 I'm guessing Maverick is going to inherit the majority of Rossi fans that stick around after he retires.

I could not handle a Rossi movie. Too much circle jerking. A Rainey and schwantz movie, now that would be good.
