Would have thought the factory Yams would have booffy big tapered rollers in the steering head. But there ya go!

G'day Boot, I reckon the part was left there with bicycle parts on it just to mess with people's heads. (Expand the image, the bearings sit too high)
BTW, I got a new toy to take out to the Simpson :)

Bicycles don't use that big a ball in the steering head. Besides, are roller bearings a secret?

Getting ready to head to the airport... COTA here we come. :D

It's odd, you get better coverage at home watching on he computer, but nothing like being there in person. Always a buzz.

I like that someone at least asked in the pre-event presser what was going on with Schwantz. The reply was "no comment" but at least it was put out there.

Also, I hate Nick Harris, but not $50-worth of hate to upgrade to multiscreen with no commentary. I guess that's why god created the mute button.

I think Nick and Gavin are world class commentators. Nick is actually pretty comical. Love it when he says 'dead right'. Nice to see Dovi and Nicky pull a 4th and 5th in FP1. Granted its pretty much meaningless at this stage, but it has to be a morale boost.

And considering how controlling Dorna seems to be I am surprised that was not edited out of the video.

Other notables from the press conference were both JLo and BS saying COTA was the hardest track to learn they have ever experienced. And, CC saying he was planning on kidnapping MM so he couldn't make it to the race sunday.

Looks to me like the rest are learning and taking it easy. Dovi and Nicky are forcing it, but they were trying hard through QP at Qatar as well.
I expect to see the usual four plus Crtuchlow, Bradl, and Bautista at the pointy end come Sunday.

I hope Pedrosa's neck is good. I want to see a real fight for the front. Got interrupted in my listening to MotoGP live on my phone by meetings. :huh

It's Friday there are no meetings on Fridays!:lol3

That's funny, because SBP is reporting Ezpleleta was served with papers to appear for deposition over breakfast. (See link in post above this one...)

Yep, it's called a lawsuit. Once that happens, public comments usually dry up.

Mrs. Easy and I are in town for the race and looking for options to get from downtown to COTA. Any ideas other than rent a car/taxi/bus to the airport&taxi to the track options?

Alternatively if someone is up for cab pooling out and or back we would be interested, or the good old I'll buy ya a beer if we can hook a ride in your car. p.m. me for a phone number. Thanks, Keith
