MM threw down the gauntlet. QP should be very interesting.

It's great to see other riders breaking up the top 4.

MM for the win. I know he is a rookie, but he is just amazing.

    +1 to what slowoldguy said.

There is just something about the perspective that an ADV takes the pics.

MM goes down pretty hard in FP3. Stumbled away. Looked like an overall body pounding. Lost the front.

edit, maybe rear stepped out on entry.

I lived in your fine country for 3 years, and drank more than a few beers with Boots. I think the Aussie style is in my blood now, anyway, it's just like the group of mongrels I grew up with in high school here in the YooEss. :lol3

I hope Marquez keeps his head on straight this first year, and doesn't let testosterone and adrenaline get the best of him. He sure is on fire now.

    Edit:
Oh shit... maybe I spoke too soon.

He came back and set even faster laps on his back-up bike so I think he is ok.

Yeah, sore maybe; gotta wonder if he had a few more tenths in him without the pounding -- he didn't look eager to get up and clutched the gravel like he was hurting.

Pedrosa sliding into the right-hander -- pretty awesome.

Agree on Crutchlow. I wonder if Rossi is going to find something by the race.

Bradl should start to be on thin ice with his race crashes. He shows pretty solid pace in practice, but too often dumps it from a good position.

Is this the first time MM has actually come down hard on a MotoGP bike? That may still be one of the things standing between him and total dominance. Remember JLo had absolutely stellar first 5 races in the big class in -08, but then he started crashing.

I hope there are some good battles up front, Marquez sure is laying down some fast times and might check out if the other guys don't come up with something for the race.

Split QP will be appreciated by the top riders with the slowest rider (44yr old wild card american mike barnes who I think, according to his bio has won once in 21 years as a pro and then picked up several wins last year in the xr1200 class) nearly 12 sec off the pace. A shame Josh Hayes couldn't be out there on another Yamaha.
