At least Dunlop is consistent. :eek1
Should make for an interesting Moto 2 race.
Hey, yet more! Thanks again.
Was that the Lukey Heights "very fast highside" crash?
Doesn't look like any part of a highside.
Oh yeah, it was a high side all right. He was trying to ride Lukey like Casey has been. Got it wrong. Or maybe it was the little whoop that a few of us have discovered....? Lucky to get away with it, it was a collarbone cruncher
Bootlace, thanks for the pix! How's the weather?
Not on that pic, but it was a highside (sorry, bad quality shots from the live feed)...
More on the weather....
Old hands will tell you, when you come here, you bring everything you've got!
Hopefully you won't need it, but there's every chance you will....
But really, ya wouldn't want to be anywhere else.....
You guys are amazing! Thanks again.
By accident I have come across free video footage of Marquez's highside at Lukey. Well, I suppose it's on crash.net as well by now. However, the MotoGP website has it towards the end of a piece where the riders comment on the new surface.
The vid is here. First three-quarters is nothing but talking heads. The Marquez crash starts about 1:35.
Probably the angle but I can barely believe how early he is getting on the throttle into there.
Edit: Looking at it again, it wasn't really a highside - he caught it!! Just. Got very loose and brought it back and fell off the low side. Hence the picture. Still looked hard on the shoulder but so close to way worse.
This posting pix and stuff has been really cutting into my drinking schedule...
This bloke today was unbelievably smooth, accurate, and seemingly on rails through my sector today. Not the fastest, but from where I'm looking, you should be putting your money on George........
He's on a mission!
Everybody required to use harder compound for motogp.
Stoner always used as little as possible.
And for those that didn't see it, it was a 16" - 18" long, through the motor, across the frame mount, not just a loose bolt on one side of the motor. :huh
Nicky might as well take his sixth motor and start from pit lane. The Ducs won't stand a chance on the hard tires.
That part on Pedrosa's bike almost looked like a kickstand! Lucky it didn't cause a crash.
