unfortunately dorna are onto us...if you have a new engine in the second bike you have to do a ride through as well as the pit stop.So it would seem the best strategy for Nicky( and anyone else in engine trouble ) is to start with the new engine from pit lane att he start.I reckon the pit stops will be chaos.lots of time could be lost here. And if it rains who is to say the wets will last the whole race?

I think it is pretty common when a track is resurfaced. There were questions going in about tires. Add the unusually temperate conditions and there you have it.

But while a tyre may look visibly okay on the outside, Bridgestone had arrived at their decision after cutting open the Friday tyres for examination.
Ducati's Andrea Dovizioso confirmed: "The hardest tyre was the worst to see on the outside, but every tyre they cut they saw the blisters yesterday. When we made a good lap time at the end of the practice Bridgetone said that the inside was not OK and they said that more than 14 laps was not good."

Actually GP is Screaming for a KICK , WSBK is better to watch just for that reason. this is the best thing thats happened to Motogp since Rossi in my lifetime. i hope they split it up It will be GREAT for the sport which is becoming a little like F1 ...boring after the first 5to 6 laps. sad but true . something has gotta change and this is a brilliant chance for the organisers to gain some insight.

So it rains mid race then dries out, throw in a red flag and pit lane will be like downtown rush hour, trucks, buses, a railroad crossing and a drawbridge.

    Now mgp is 19 laps?

Guess the tires are even crappier than they thought.
