Not long ago but Phillip Island 2015. The race was great and the subsequent meltdown wasn't bad either.

Phillip Island 2001. Rossi didn't need to win, but he rode like his life depended on it. I think the lead group was around 10 riders at one point, with 4 abreast going into Honda Corner. Win margin was .013.

Suzuka 1989. Best duel between Schwantz and Rainey; only thing that keeps it from being the undisputed all-time best race ever is that Rainey was riding the last lap like there was 2 to go because he misunderstood his pit board. As it was, I don't think I've seen a race with so many lead position changes.

Hopefully the meltdown is available in post-race commentaries.

FFS what a race! And it was a Phillip Island classic that for some reason I missed at the time. Thanks for posting.

And they say we are in a golden age now. Perhaps for consistently interesting races. But the way they were mixing it up on those 500s for the entire race was breathtaking - and half a dozen of them.

One thing you notice is the manoeuvrability of those little two-strokes, compared with what we have now. :rilla

Pass after pass in impossible places. And very obviously, electronic rider aids weren't doing much.

    GREAT tracks make GREAT races.

Plenty at Mooogello too. 250's towards the end are worth a look.

Last few corners at Assen between Edwards and Hayden were awesome. Hayden's day, but that was a great year.

Check out Suzuka 1994 for Norifumi Abe's wildcard premier class debut. In the midst of the Doohan/Schwantz/Rainey battles, it's great to see a new guy just baffle all the frontrunners.

Yes I remember seeing this at the time. Local wildcard, and instead of trundling around down the back he is mixing it up - a lot - with the stars. How was that even possible?

Abe baffled himself into the gravel. Guy could take some spectacular tumbles.

Yeah, *23 YEAR SPOILER ALERT* there's a reason the results don't really reflect his challenge. Gotta love the Iannone's, the Simoncelli's and the Abe's of the world while they're out there.

I also want to thank this thread for reminding me of Phillip Island 2015; watched it again and DAMN that was some great racing.

Saw today Catalunya '09 and Estoril '06. Great races. Last 3 laps at Catalunya are just insane and Elias in Estoril came out from nowhere.

Remember watching this race live on TV in a coffee estate with friends. The smell of the rain and that coffee plantation just wanted by. Thanks

Can a guy buy the video pass and sign in through a Roku box or do you need to run it on your laptop or mobile device? I guess if it has to be laptop, I could run it on the laptop and plug to the TV?

    thanks

This was going to be my first suggestion as well, can you imagine if a wild card in this day and age came into MotoGP and cut them up like Abe did on that day on the Mister Donut Honda. I don't care where he ended up that day, that ride was one I'll always remember!:clap

Is there no commentary on most of the classic races on the videopass?
