I would love to see Nicky try some banzai marque-change before heading out of The Show in the next few years. I was watching the "classic" races on motogp.com and watching Nicky utterly dominate at Laguna in 2005 is both exciting and depressing.

Some will rightly say, "Well, duh. What took you so long to figure that out!", but I have finally figured out the strategy employed by Speed TV here in the States. If it is a Live coverage, and there is an impending, critical pass, then cut to break. Rossi's pass on Pedrosa. Break. MM's pass on Pedrosa. Break.

I did not get to see either pass live. Rather, I could only see short replays of the pass itself without getting to see the lead-up to the passes. Worse, I had to endure Kramer telling me what great and critical passes they were.

    :becca

P.S. I did enjoy seeing Rossi win.
P.S.S. I think MM brake checked Crutchlow.

I would settle for Nicky going to Tech3 for 2 years....

On the "Rossi retiring at the end of this year" front: he's only 2 points down on Crutchlow in the standings.

I guess we should also say we're back to 4 aliens, though I still don't figure Rossi being a contender for the WC anymore.

I´m happy for Rossi and all his fans, it was a long dry season for them.

    GO ROSSI:clap

Great race, the top 5 did very well.

Some of y'all have been slagging Vale, and I bit my tongue a few times over the past few weeks. What I will say now is learn the lesson: you never want to count out a 9 times world champion.

I think the momentum has shifted to Jorge, that was an inspired ride. Dani better go on a winning streak or it could be a long year as a bridesmaid.

I like Cal. He brings all sorts of much needed excitement to the show. My comment was meant to be (unheard by Cal :rofl ) realistic, constructive criticism. Crashing out in the early laps last race and his hail Mary, never gonna do it, passing attempts, nearly throwing it all away this race are short comings in his otherwise excellent game.

We could call it the first non-alien win since Spies. :eek1 :hide

That said, I still have him down as my prediction for 2013 WC. :hmmmmm

Don't usually watch warm-up, but I'll have to have a look at that.

If he wins and podiums a bunch of times, it could be a mathematical possibility. I think now that the doubt is gone, we are gonna see a lot more from the Doctor.

It may go down to a nailbiter in Valencia:deal

I have a subscription but internet at home is too slow- have to go to my office to watch.

But busy at home this morning and couldn't wait to see JLo's race. Watched on not-so SpeedTV.

I wish they would drop the "rewind" or whatever the hell it's called. I know how the last race turned out. If they would NOT play that but use the time to show today's ENTIRE RACE, we wouldn't miss the good stuff.

    Speed REALLY SUCKS.

A great race that should have pleased a lot of people!

Lorenzo stepping up to show his toughness and taking a great finish.

Cal taking a podium after a pole and some near run offs showing his speed!

    Marquez with another strong finish.

Rossi doing what many have been waiting for... Winning!

Bradl putting smile on the German's faces with a 6th.

The Italians did get an Italian win but the Ducatis were so far behind that the CRT's were mixed in among them and one in front. Ouch! For a proud racing company. Checa's off in WSBK Superpole definitely doesn't help.

Hope Rossi is a permanent fixture at the front to keep the championship lively.

Pedrosa is looking like he may be normal modus operandi but I sure hope not. He might not be exciting to watch but he is a professional which is always nice to see.

What a weekend for racing! Hope the rest of the competition turns out as well.

    Top stuff right there.
What a great race! And sunshine to boot!.
Lorenzo is a hard man. That just had to hurt beyond all reason.
Rossi looked really smooth and comfy out there. I hope this continues. The rest of this season could be really fun to watch.
    Cal almost got to second.
Hard to watch a whole race while catching your breath about every corner. :eek1

That was the most joyous podium I've seen in a long time, just a bunch of big kids up there.
Down to the business of racing on the track, and joking around after the race. The love of the sport was shining brightly today.

Wow! From the low of Lorenzo's crash injury to the excitement of the race, I'm getting a nose bleed.
