Anyone know if spectators will be allowed in to watch the March MotoGP practice sessions of Honda and Yamaha?

I left an inquiry on their "contact us" page off their website a few days ago, no response yet.

The logical answer would seem to be that they'd open up one grandstand or something and let people in to generate more interest/buzz. The reality is probably that the organizers are too clueless/lazy/self-interested to bother with the additional work of allowing some people in. Hopefully I am wrong.

I imagine it's not as simple as opening the gates. Insurance, event permits, etc., might be required to let a crowd in. :dunno

Are these types of practice rounds usually open to spectators when they take place in Europe or Malaysia?

It depends. There are public tests and there are private tests. The public tests are often open to the public, if you go to Sepang or Jerez or Valencia, you will be able to get in, for a nominal fee. The private tests - such as Ducati has just had at Jerez - are completely private, and they will chase you away.

Have yet to receive a response. After this much time - I'd be surprised if I did!
