Once again free trade with the us hits,

You can not ship into Canada now a trailer for any place but the US of A now it seems. I order an ural trailer for a Canadian dealer and he got caught by new rules that the trailer needs a 17 number vin and a usa stamp that it mets the DOT there too. Now why would a russian trailer have long vin numbers and us stamp on it? it sold all thought Europe now wny not here?

This seems to me to be a out come of free trade allowing for only US trailer to come in to Canada. Now I may have to order from a US dealer and pay lots more for it. More $5.000 to about 13,000 now, Two taxes and customs would be on it.

So far the dealer spend a lot on reshipping it all back and 3 days trying to get it in even as a parts trailer kit.

    Oh well David

Since Ural ships bikes to Canada, they must be on top of this (the bikes must have a 17 digit VIN). Why not ask them for assistance? Everything I have read about the Ural management team suggests that they are no-BS people who get things done.

I've seen their trailers in person, they run $3000-$3500 and they seem really good.

I was hoping to match the bike with the trailer As I run a touring company here with it. Have it look the part too as it was green as the cam colour bike. As well as matching parts too, It build the same way so it stand up to ever day pot holes and bangs,
