dang thats a lot of bikes!
If I could only get free roam of that place.....
Crusty - Where is that?! I need to go there and just ROAM - like I do at Lowe's and Home Depot and other such man shops.
WOW! Need to go there with a trailer. Saw an old 76 XT 500. What an exciting place.
Well as I know from a Buell factory mechanic ( I was a Buell Dealer for a couple of years ) this were testbikes. They destroyed them on purpose. Hard to believe. I also got the an info from an Austrian KTM Factory Technican that they destroyed tons of LC4 and Rally factory parts. Storage and selling would be more expensive then ripping the stuff. Why don´t they give away that stuff to clubs, maniacs like we are?
They also crushed the last Buell Blast bikes into cubes. These were not test bikes, but backstock when Harley decided to stop selling the Blast.
I don't know...just pass trough this pics on some Tumblr page....it's not here in Portugal...i'm sure
Wasn't that a Romanian flag in one of those pictures?
Yes it is...i haven't seen the flag until now.....only have looked for the parts...!
I believe that is the "All Bikes" junkyard at Rye, AZ. Just south of Payson on Highway 87.
I know this pic definitely is, because I've stood here a couple times:
Guy that runs it gets intermittently good/bad reviews. He was nothing but helpful and reasonable with me. I recommend the place, even though I didn't get what I was looking for (a kickstart lever for an XR600R... found it on evilbay instead).
Do'h, that's not even near Romania
Digging this thread....not a graveyard...but a good old looking collection:
Vostell Museum Spain...
Yep, thats the place. He was great with me, let me walk around where ever I wanted. I was drooling over most of the stuff in that place,. including cars. It is a "as is museum." Great guy and I forgot his name. Ron...?
I spotted this opportunity down in Seldovia.
Oh look, a Brough Superior (right next to the Vincent)...!
From my perspective, its art
That one in AZ would be fun to walk through.
I suppose they have snakes....
