Pick your closest WNC town and ride it in. NC inspections are really no big deal.

I got mine in Robbinsville at a corner service station last year. I did my dad's Vulcan at a quick lube place in Bryson City this last fall. I'll bet money you'd find a place in Murphy too. Unless you're running bald tires, you're not going to have a problem. Just make sure everything works and you have your current registration with you. NC doesn't require turn signals but if the bike has turn signals, then they have to work. Good luck.

I am actually very familiar with what is required.......

I am just looking for somewhere that some of you guys use..... I am going to have to make a special trip to western NC to get this done. I am in Clarksville TN and just want to find the closest motorcycle friendly place that can do it.

Not all places that do the Vehicle Inspections can do motorcycles......

    Thanks

AFAIK, most motorcycle shops can do inspections. Myers Motorcycles in Asheville is where I go. Then again, it's local to me. I'd look up the closest dealer to you that you'd trust with your bike and give 'em a call, see if they do inspections, how booked are they, when can you come in.

Haywood County is the first county you will hit in NC on I-40. Here is a list of all the NC inspection stations in the county:

    https://apps.dot.state.nc.us/dmv/emissions/ViewStations.aspx?co=HAYWOOD

Clyde is the quickest place to get off 40 at, exit 27, so I would call those shops first and ask if they will do motorcycles.

If you come to Clyde my store is right downtown, stop in and say howdy.

Ghost Town Harley Davidson in Waynesville is one listed there, so if none of the others do they will.
