I'll have two lifts now, and plenty of tools.
I'm up to 15 RSVPs. Looks like we are going to have a variety of bikes and projects going this year!
JVB - you're a rock star!
I don't know about that, but thanks!
By the way, I just got an offer for an Odyssey PC680 that will fit in any R1100/1150 BMWs, not sure what else. If anyone would like it I can have it at the tech day!
Could you add me to the list?
I need to repack my KLR's exhaust
Sounds good, see you then!
JVB, if I'm not out in riding the mountains that day I hope to stop by and BS.
BSing is half the fun! You and all are welcome!
A buddy and I are soon to be GS owners and would be interested in stopping by to get some first hand knowledge with respect to maintaining these machines. It would likely be 2 or 3 total stopping by.
Thanks for putting this on,
Sounds great! Give me a head count by the 20th.
I'm planning on coming ... since I just had my annual service done, I'll bring my baby (my bike that is) and learn by watching, working on other's bikes () and lubbing my internals.
What can/should we bring to assist with the overall event?
Just come and hang out, you will need nothing.
For those working, bring your supplies, send your tires to me, and I'll supply the tools, food and drink. Maybe a bit of knowledge and assistance too!
PM me for an address.
Looks like my friend has a couple of brand new in the box JCWhitney Top Cases like I have that he is going to have available for sale if anyone is interested. He was saying at cost of $40 each. Here is how I mounted mine on my GS:
Holds a full face helmet and room for more.

They will fit on any bike with a rack. I know for a fact they fit on a KLR and a GS, and have seen them on lots of other bikes. Decent quality, lockable, and big enough.
Just a little added value for the tech day. He said he will bring them if anyone is interested. Just let me know.
PS We have a decen't sized crowd coming. It should be fun.
I'm not really a BMW owner type of person, but I sure seem to have an influx of those critters in my little shop here in Richmond for repair and other work. If for no other reason, I may try and make it up to this little shindig just to meet you, and yes, scarf down a few vittles (I'm not proud!). Lot going on, on my plate, but will do my best to join in the fun. The Concours Owners Group (COG) has had a number of these sessions locally, and it was always a fun time to meet new friends, reacquaint ourselves with some of the old, and just enjoy the camaraderie of each other's company.
If you would, please PM me your address JIC I can get away.
This sounds fantastic. I'd love to come out and gain some knowledge from those more experienced and meet some local folks.
Thanks for the invite.
I wish I lived a little closer! Maybe I should think about moving to the DC area?
Bringing it to the top!
Just a reminder, all brands of motorcycles are welcome, scooters too!
Count me in. Do you need help with grilling? Cheers.
Hey Kimo! Glad to have you come by! I have a very pretty wife that will be partly laid up with foot surgery, and her best friend who is no slacker that have offered to help, bit I am sure they wouldn't mind some assistance!
Count me in on the Tech Day, Vittles and one of those JCW travel trunks, my KLR needs one. I have purchased one of your videos to preform the maintenance on my 2011 R1200GSA but have been too chicken sh*t / lazy to do the valves or sync the TB's. Just had Morton's do both, but would like someone to look over my shoulder while I attempt to sync the TB's the 1st time.
Please PM me your address.
