Oh wow, I have been looking at the Canon S110 and trying to decide if I can justify the money to buy it. You're photos aren't helping me with not spending the money.

    Hey LB,

I bought the canon S90, then S95, skipped the S100 and just bought the canon S110. I have to say, this camera just keeps getting better and better.

Besides the Automatic Exposure Bracketing for HDR, my next favorite feature is the Super Vivid Color setting. (Not to be confused with the confusing Vivid Color setting). My avatar was taken using super vivid color with the canon S95.

This camera is incredible. When I travel my Nikon D90 stays in the hotel 99% of the time b/c the S110 is so good and so portable...

My advice, Splurge, it's so worth it.

    Lawrence

    Drsilver,
Thanks for the review. I'm probably going to suck it up and spend the money. That camera has so many cool features.

    jdgretz,
Cool bikes. Was that a ride or a show with all those bikes?

I sure do like this thread.

This was a ride sponsored by the local Ducatti/Moto Guzzi/Aprilia/Triumph dealer (Pro Italia) up to Guy Webster's private museum in Ojai. Guy is a wonderful human being and a great photographer who happens to love motorcycles and can afford to collect them. Article on Guy --> Linky

He has some great stuff there, and if you click on the photos it will take you to the set I shot there today. Some of the stuff in the parking lot was as nice as anything you'll find in the museum. I love seeing these old bikes in perfect condition being ridden. Motorcycles deserve and need to be ridden.

Hood Canal bridge from the Kitsap Peninsula to the Olympic Peninsula. It's not really a canal, it's almost a fjord. There's no passage out at the southern end.

I agree! Been away from the thread for a while and it took some time to catch up. Too cold for me to get inspired but I'm glad to see you guys are killin it! Thanks for sharing!

Geek: Thanks for the experiment post too. I've had mixed emotions about shallow DOF and HDR and have been leaning towards deep DOF for HDR...

Geek, here's one I took the other day after your DOF experiments. I think in the right situations it can look really good. Fun to play with.
