After the above photo was taken, I ran over to the other side of the bridge as the sun was setting, and snapped another shot overlooking the bridge and the city. :lol3

You sure take a lot of great mural pictures - starting to think this must be a full time occupation for you.

Nah, just happen to live in a mural rich area - Detroit and Toledo. That fact, combined with the various other murals I come across while traveling, can at times create mural burnout for me.

But, usually after a brief hiatus, I'm back out there running them down. I love edgy, colorful art, and they make such nice back-drops for motorcycle pictures. It just makes sense.

Believe it or not, there are tons more in my area that I have not yet found. They do become addicting. Then again, what doesn't ? I've had worst habits ! :D

    Keep up the good work!

I live in an area with many as well - if the rain ever stops I will get back out there to see what I can find.

I was thinking a few days ago after looking at yet another posting with several murals, "is there a building in Detroit that doesn't have a mural painted on it?"

There are areas, that it - seems - as if not.
If you count graffiti and random tagging ... not.

See if you can spot the pheasant in the picture above.

I'm always incredulous when I see a pheasant rambling around in the heart of the city. This happens often during urban exploring. It is a Detroit thing. The bird above was just off Grand River Avenue not all that far from downtown. He was right out by the road and when he saw me approach, started trotting off to hide behind the building.

You could walk the woods all week and never kick one up. Go bomb around the ghetto for a day and - presto - there's a pheasant.
