An early start to appreciate the country sunrise and get to Meribah at the edge of the Murray Sunset National Park by dawn.

The plan was to ride to the Taplin Gate, shearers quarters, settlement rd (with a couple of deviations :evil ), lunch at Rocket Lake & back to Meribah along Pheeney's Track.

The day was clear ..... air was cool ..... the sky was bright ..... words were in short supply and the the pace was good :evil

Until someone left their glasses at Rocket Lake and of course had to ride the best track again :rofl

Great report MB. I could be wrong but that looks like a DR 650 that's currently for sale here at Northern Motorcycles I recognise the pannier racks.

Looks like you just about wore old Dave out. :lol3 Nice ride, mate. Must get out there with you blokes some time soon. You're obviously enjoying the DR650, MB. Nice choice of bike - do they have trouble keeping up with you still? Do you still have the TDM. I need the motor out of it. :D

You've been flat out MB. I recon I might have a chat to you about this latest trip at the classic. Looks like a great 3 day weekender. Just need a petrol tanker to keep the CRF in fuel. (or another bike with fuel capacity) Glad to hear your enjoying the DR.
    Cheers Andy

I can put on my 28 lt tank on the DRZ and help a petroleum challenged person like yourself out. Are you contemplating doing the adventure ride stuff at the classic?
