After showers earlier in the week, riding the damp sands of the Murray Sunset National Park on the border of South Australia & the Aussie Mexico, Victoria was looking like fun.

Another early start was called for, traveling the 3 hrs black top into a beautiful mystic foggy country sunrise.

The sight of a kangaroo in the main street of Meribah on the edge of the national park brought excitement & trepidation for the days riding ahead.

It was easy riding with grippy wet sand along settlement road

before turning off onto well defined side tracks according to the official map. :deal

Unfortunately we finally had to back track.

Finally out of the mallee scrub and some bright spark with obviously rocks in his head, suggested we ride the fire break :rayof

Envious of my track choosing abilities, Dave tried to put rocks in his head his way :p3rry :rofl

Tough buggar DaveP, he hit so hard he pushed the rocks into the soil :lol3

Lunch was suggested to regroup our thoughts, unfortunately Dave's jaw was so sore he couldn't eat anything :eek1

As pain was increasing, we were off again.

    Will he ........ or won't he ........?

Time was passing quickly with the delays, so it was agreed to cut & run along the high speed :pynd Bambill South Track which knocked 30kms + off the route.

Vibration was taking its toll ................ "The Zipperman" Pocket Rocket, Prasard would be so proud :lol3

Another timeout along Pheeneys Track for Dave to catch his breath.

and on arrival back in Meribah, we presented each other with the usual achievement reward :evil

Like the pioneers before us ........... we were rooted :rofl
