Ive got somewhat big calves as well, and wear a 13. I currently have an old pair of Tech 6 that have been really good but starting to show some age. Ive been hearing good things about the SG10 and am just about ready to order some. I thought I read somewhere that the buckle can be unscrewed and moved to several positions. Didnt see that mentioned here so just wondering.

I know the 12 front shin panel moves, not sure about the 10.

I just got to see the brand new Sidi Crossfire 2's (not released yet) and they have two adjustable spots in the upper calves. Both the front and back of the inner side panel can be opened up a bit!! Going to be a touch more than the originals but should fit an even larger calf.

Some people have big calves due to over weight, some by exercise, and others like me are predisposed due to genetics. Reducing weight does not affect my calf size at all.

I have used Alpinestars Tech 10 boots for a decade in Cambodia. They fit my feet and calfs, and they dry quick due to the bootie design. Hot, humid, lots of water riding and my feet are happy.

On other boots I have also used a velcro strap to keep my boots closed. I like using over the boot pants to help protect my lowers from abuse. Bamboo thorns in the jungle can shred a riding boot.

BTW, I did try on Gaerne sg12 boots once and they had plenty of calf room. I just like the inner bootie design for my riding environment better.

Hurray for all you BIG Calf guys on dirt bikes.

The crossfires can fit some huge calves. My calves are decent and they fit with knee guards, you have to adjust them to the larger setting. Only problem is they dont fit really wide feet well.

I order and received the TCX X-Desert Gore-Tex boots......and they don't fit someone with 19" calves :(: I was told after sending a picture of the boot not even closing they would not recommend any TCX boots for me.

I was told the Sidi Adventure Gore-Tex would not fit either.

So I did end up ordering the Crossfire 2's and they should be here on Friday!!!! :clap

Side note....Revzilla has excellent customer service and have been very patient with me.

I got the Crossfire 2 and the calves fit...not sure how well they would work on a 20" or more...the buckle would make the fit but they wouldn't be "closed" so to speak.

Much to my frustration the foot is a touch too tight and they are getting returned.

I just got the Gaerne Balance Oiled Boots in a size 12. They fit my wide feet well. The velcro closes about half way, good enough for me. Glad I was able to get boots that fit over my 21" rugby calves.

I am very impressed with their comfort level. From the get-go I think I would be able to go hiking in them.
