Well this started off as an Idea for a ride down the east coast of the U.S as I was in Maine and wanted to visit my brother in Florida. But, as I soon discovered, there is no neat highway that runs down the coastline like the Pacific Coast Highway out west. I did manage to see a bit of the eastern coastline though it took quite a bit longer than I had intended. I started in Portland Maine and rode through to northern Florida, hitting a few historic and scenic spots along the way.

In Boston I stayed with the parents of my friend Bill, back in CA. It feels a bit awkward to stay with someone I don't already know. But, I really enjoyed the time I spent with them and feel very fortunate to have met my new friends Jack and Ruth.

Heres a pic outside Fenway Park. I'm not really a baseball fan but I had certainly heard of Fenway Park. I just happened to ride by as I was wandering around looking for a place with free WIFI :lol3

An old cemetery somewhere near the coast of Massachusetts. Lots of really old ones like this in the New England area. Not sure what possessed me to stop and take this pic :huh

Campground at McClellanville SC. One of the prettiest places I've stayed. A couple, camping a few sites away invited me over to eat - real nice folks, great food, and a beautiful camp ground.

Oh yeah. Lansdowne Street. As a life long Sox fan you have my attention. The Buckminster across the Mass Pike (just beyond the Citgo sign) has WiFi and I could have directed you to a fine deli not far from there that also does.
