Question: What are my options for rear tire size on the DRZ400S?
    Lemme explain:
I am the proud new owner of a very well maintained 2006 DRZ400S. THe PO was obsessive about maintenance and particularly preventative maintenance and emergency preparedness. This translates into a very bulletproof DRZ, and is the reason I went with this bike even though it was slightly over my original budget.

It also manifests itself in a very interesting problem. To minimize the number of different spare parts he needed to carry on long trips the PO replaced the front rim with another 18" rear rim. The rear is also lowered 2" and the stance is great -a lot closer to being like my old CB550 but with long travel suspension.

I have ridden the bike at 65-70 highway speeds and have taken it onto some fire roads and up and down some rutted dirt hillsides and my only complaint is that i wish the front tire was a little narrower. ANd that might just be in my head. The tires it came with that I have been running are Kenda K270 4.50 x 18s

So I guess I am asking what y'all think of running the two 120/90 18s or going with a narrower slightly higher profile front tire to give me a little more wiggle room in the ruts?

THat and what the size options would be given that rim size?

    Thanks-
