Im booked solid with Ural crap till spring

But Ive made up my mind and will be ordering the DMC Enduro

I have no experience with it but I think I can set it up on my trusty DR zuki

And as you say it will be the Mac "whos your daddy" of sidecars

I'll do a complete thread on it when I start the project

My greatest fear...and I shudder at the thought of it...is that I will have to ask for help from inmates here

I would rather have a wolverine slowly chew my ball sack off but hey it may come down to that

    Cheers!

If you decide to go the wolverine route, don't have him stop at just the sack. It may help your disposition. At least it works that way in animals.

Yep, calmed down several of my previously owned stallions and bulls.

When you order the DMC car, order the DMC DR650 mount as well (with skid pan). Level it out, bolt it together and lean it out about a degree - you're done! I am running 10" wheel lead with 3/8" toe in - works fine for me.

Don't forget the Dunlop D606 on the rear. Easy peasy! No wolverines needed.

Sorry for all your issues, jwaller, what a PITA.
This thread is frustrating. On paper a Ural looks just the ticket for my area, but no way in hell do I have your patience. The only positive I can think of for my purposes is that at least here in Washington I probably could have used the Lemon Law and got my money back.

Got a voicemail from AF1 today. My Ural is ready to be picked back up. T minus then to next breakdown.

If it's anything like my old Mazda truck, it will run real sweet and trouble free, and you will start thinking it's okay and lull you into wanting to keep it...then, out of nowhere, BLAMMO!

Got my Ural back today. Went ahead and bought new tires for the front and sidecar then put on the sidecar tire. The new speedometer is much better than the original which always was swinging plus or minus ten mph. The new speedometer needle stays at a given speed and doesn’t swing around. The lights in the speedometer seem brighter too. The new starter is black. And the odometer makes it seem like a brand new bike. [IMG][IMG]

Now to make it look like new!

I know it’s verboten and I’ll most likely suffer as a consequence, but I w@$#ed my bike today. It’ll be a while before it looks this good again, if ever[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Like they used to say about snowmobiles: “never ride further than you can walk home from”

Wasn’t too long ago when I towed this one home for an unidentified inmate:

    I’d check your hall sensor.

A bit of yesterday's ride. At seven minutes in is where the Retro loses all power the first time.
