Sorry, saw the sticker and asked before I looked at your website. I spent a couple summers in Belarus in college. Lots of good memories of great people.

Sergei,
Just went through this whole thread. MAN what great pics you take. :thumb What kind of camera do you use?

Keep the pics coming - I'm coming back for more.

There are many good ones, but my favorite pic is probably this one.

Sergei;

HI, I know yo
u get it all the time, But your pictures are so beautiful!!!!

I am
new to scootering (only 200 km) my Beat has 10 " wheels and will not go above 80 km/hr (I think) so I wanted to ask you, how does it feel to do high speeds with small tires? I think you can easily go over 100 km/hr (60 mph) with your Vespa, right?

I am really liking the scooter side and will consider b
uying a bigger scooter so your info is very apreciated. and where can I read your trip to Mexico?

Thanks

Damasovi

Thank you very much!

Yes my scooter can go over 100 km/h easily.. top speed is 130 km/h. When I just started out I was a little scared on a high way but in a couple of hours the fear was gone and It feels great at 130 km/h (although I would say my favourite speed would be 80-90 km/h, gives me more time to see places that I want to photograph).

To see my trip to Mexico, go to my blog and search for "Vespa Mexico"... here is the link to it: http://www.sergeibelski.com/blog/search/?t=vespa+mexico

I'm planning to do a trip to Florida sometime this year, should be an even longer trip.. Hope will have enough time to work it in my schedule :) I will also post it on my blog... Category: "Vespa Adventures"

Don't hesitate to leave any comments on my blog, I would be happy to answer any questions you may have!

Thank you!

I frequently go 70+ on my GTS 250. It has 12" wheels and on a poorly surfaced road isn't much fun at high speed but otherwise not a problem. I've taken 1280 mile trips on my Vespa but I prefer the larger wheeled Scarabeo or BV 500s for long distance touring.

thank you both! I am thinking 10 in wheels were not made to go 60-70 mph... over bumpy roads, but it can be done!

Some people may not like small wheels for longer travel but I love it.. I did 927 km in one day, going as fast as it goes and loved every minute of it!

I'm hoping to do a 9,000 km road trip this summer on my Vespa... so I do like small wheels for my long trips :)
