I took a tree limb. :1drink. This is a gen 1 KLR. This is right side, bracket behind heel plate. The shaft accepts the brake lever. As you can see by the split, it's busted.
You can easily expose this bracket by removing the two Allen head bolts that hold on the heel plate and rear brake master cylinder. Then there Two Allen bolts that hold the bracket to the frame.
    Here,it is removed.

I have no idea what the hell this bracket is but I need one.

    Thanks in advance.

    I broke mine as well.
It will break way before the actual brake pedal.
I ended up buying an OEM bracket to replace the broken one, and bought a spare brake pedal and brake stay used.
They call that bracket a stay.
The stay I bought used is made by dual star.
Are they even in business anymore?

    It's part number 35011-1327.

Eagle Mike makes good stuff. It's only $10 more, but it's a better product.
I only wish I had bought his instead.
Well hopefully I won't down my bike anymore. LOL
