I am way overdue for a RR. I've done a couple rides but no photos but today I took lots! Steed for the day is a Honda AX1 250

    Dang it!!

My rides starts out going thru Chiang Mai's agricultural university, nice

Not to far before I hit the dirt and make my way over to the road that will take me to Someong
    [IMG]
I've ridden this road to Someong at least 1/2 dozen times but always fun
    [IMG]
I think this is some hippy/yoga hangout
    [IMG]
I saw this last time but didn't take a photo. You see this kind of stuff everywhere here
    [IMG]
    Lunch spot in Someong
    [IMG]
Lunch is just simple but filling chicken fried rice

OK on to the good stuff. I am trying to get to Mae Win going South towards
    Doi Intenon
    [IMG]
    Nice river crossing

I have no idea what this sign says but I'm going in!
For you animal lovers, wildlife shot
    [IMG]
I saw this out of the corner of my and stopped and walked in a little ways
    [IMG]
    Back on the road
    [IMG]
OK now I'm feeling a little lost so I stop at this small and I mean small village way back in the mtns. I find the village school and ask where in the hell I am. !

    Cute little grubbers!
So the school marm said I missed the turn a ways back, I think that what she said anyway? So back I go
    [IMG]
    Rice paddies
    [IMG]
Yeah I'm pretty much not sure where I am so I start to head back. I've already ridden 70 kilometers so I better head back the way I came
I did try and find another way back to the hwy but got denied
    [IMG]
Back I go down to the river
    [IMG]
So now I'm back near Someong and see this bike. These guys don't need no stinkin 950 v-twin super enduro bikes! Sometimes less is more. Check out the engine heat shield for his leg
    [IMG]
I saw this place on the way and had stop for a quick hydrate and a photo.
Those are all empty Thai Whiskey and Rum boxes. I think someone has a little drinking problem
    [IMG]
the dude sitting in the back looked a little hammered (for real)
So that's it, 165 kilometers for the day! Oh yeah, anyone wanna guess the year of the AX1 I was riding??

You guys are way off on the bike. The AX1 was only made in Asia from 1990-96. Then the XR & XL took it's place. The one you see in my RR is 1991 and has over 200K kilometers on it! Mr.Dang just takes really really good care of his bikes
