me taking a few laps on one of the Team Bull bikes.
I guess Unadilla liked my pictures from 2012.
off topic: shot any night races?
just the 4 hour endurance race a few weeks ago and a vintage dirt track least year.
off topic. why is nachtflug cool and you're not?
I've been low fived by John Desoto on a CZ at the skyshot @ Unadilla.
deal with it.
why is Guy Cooper cool and we're not?
try this at 51.
Jeez Scott, make it hard.
What do I win?
Looks like a cool weekend.
I was only there Saturday and didn't even rub elbows or chat with any of the legends but a very good day to be there.
Guy Cooper is a f'ing god we are not worthy.
He's freaking 51 and the show him and Dakota Kessler put on (Mickeys son, 21, current pro riding and making the gates at the outdoor 250 Nationals) was freaking sweet. those 2 were FLYING, Kessler on a CZ and Cooper on a Bul. Awesome just AWESOME they were hitting the skyshot and going as far as the modern bikes???!!! :huh
I shit you not you had to see it. Neither bike even had leading axle forks. :eek1
Awesome event I hope it picks up steam.
I know that guy! What a great shot, it's even clearer than in real life.
Was that awesome or what? Such a cool event, I can't wait till next year. The Robinson's really do a great job out there and as a former hill person if they knew who I was they wouldn't even let me past the front gate.
I've spent alot of time on the outside of that fence and it's really different from the inside. It's harder on the inside. I always thought that if I could get out there it would be something like this
I wish, but I didn't crash and had a great time. Comparing myself to Johnny O is like comparing my photo skills to yours
Not even on the same planet. Good to see you out there and hope to see you at the ISDE reunion ride.
awesome indeed. it has the potential to be beyond epic if they use their heads and don't let it get stale. I think the young pro's (Kessler) and ex pro's who can still rip (Cooper) are big time show stoppers. how many times is Larry Maiers going to ask Lechein where he got the name Dogger from, and at this point, who cares? But yes very very cool I hope they can keep the vibe. I think they should mix in something like a mini national to bring in more people and spectators and be smart about time management. I couldn't believe how long it took to get to your class as soon as it was over I was in the car, it was 8 o'clock! You missed the really nice low sunlight by about 15 minutes when you guys went off the sun was below the tree line dammit. Had to do some creative settings with the ISO etc but we can settle once and for all who's got came to do the cavity and who doesn't.
see you soon it sounds like. keep me in mind of anything interesting happens with the state line crew.
It was about 10 hours between practice and my first moto. I'll be back. I was so pumped about the whole thing on my way home from work yesterday I picked up a 71 Hodaka Ace 100-B so I'll have something to race during the day.
What a great shot, suitable for framing. Thanks!
I hate Hodaka's...
Me too Scott, well the last time I rode one was 1974 but I think I hated it?
I used to feel the same way, but then we started riding over to the Strictly Hodaka museum every year on one of the club rides and I started to get an appreciation for them. Of course I've never rode one, yet. Now I have one with the intention of bringing it to the rewind next year.
It sure as hell ain't no CR500.
If nothing else possibly the first time one was photographed with a 370Z.
Dakota Kessler Southwick 2013.
Trey Canard. Budds Creek 2013.
You HAVE to see this leap in person. You cannot imagine how far out, up they jump to a hill that is descending below and away from them. And by the way it's in effect a triple so you could case the 3rd one.
same hill. different view. didn't get his name..
