great shots as Usual
thank you. got a new camera and a new 1.7X teleconverter this week.
took the TC out today with the old camera. a 2X teleconverter will double the length of the lens so a 1.7 on a 70-200 makes it a ...who the heck knows it just makes it bigger but not quite double...
glad I used it first on the old camera as I can wrap my head around the effect of the TC from a known point of reference. I think. hey I never claimed I knew what I was doing and don't but a bigger lens is still a year away but for $400 I can make due for now.
1.7 take it away. these aren't great but they don't suck. the TC cuts down on light but the light wasn't good to start with. had fun never the less.
panning for some reason seemed improved.
one unique feature on the new Nikon is the ability to shoot a lot of frames per second.
this got worse before it got better....
Sometimes I wish you posted more to see what happened next, but these are all stunning shots.
thanks. the last one is a tease.
what do you get when you add 27 and 22?
it was at this point that I let my finger off the button for a second. things happen quick. real quick.
I'm glad I missed 27's swan song this is bad enough. you hate to take these but instinct steps in.
the guy on the right is moving in quick as he knows there are more bikes coming. luckily there was no further carnage and both were OK.
except 22 dud have to be eventually carried off by his dad crying a little...
he did lay there for a few minutes when the ambulance crew was working him he finally insisted on standing up, everyone knew he was OK. It was quite a scene of course it drew a crowd and until he got up it was tense. even when he stood up the EMT's were trying to talk him into getting checked out but he said through the tears "it doesn't hurt any more" - he was a little overwhelmed and wanted no part of further probing by the EMT's.
27 was back on his bike and roared off within 30 seconds...
I've passed these pictures along to 22's father via Facebook. He's from Pearl River.
we both agreed that 22's mother probably doesn't need to see these any time soon as she wasn't in attendance anyway.
These pics are making my body ache. WAS thinking about getting a good dirt bike dual sport...
Knew you had the rest!
That's how boys become men. Little 22 will have been bragging big time today at school.
Of course no-one would believe it, but now he has the photos to prove it.
I think I hurt my ankle getting down from that flagger stand the girls are sitting on.
