It's too long a story to do here.
Google Doug Henry for a start....
He makes Chuck Norris look like a pussy.
many thanks it is nice to hear. I feel like the best is yet to come, if I could just figure out what the hell I'm doing.
but each year brings a better lens.
John Dowd #16 Unadilla VMX yesterday.
Saw this unfold and knew he was....fucked.
But he got right back up. Nothing hurt but his pride. Unadilla.
You can hear those guys behind Dowd.
Ow, ow, ouch, fuck, ow, why didn't I go inside?
Nachtflug, Great photograph of a great track! Long, wide and open with jumps that allow you several options instead of just forcing you into dangerous landings. Reminds me of the GP tracks of the 70's. Looks like a great track for vintage racing. Seeing a track like that tells me you must have a strong MX community out there. Oh, and my wallet and assorted yet to be finished house projects implore you, no more photos of vintage Husqvarnas please... Some of your other threads were just killing me.
Rene with Dowd, she races ACR with us. She can hold her own on the track and is fun to have around!
Here she is battling with me on the mini's
Thread hijack over.....Continue on Scott
She seems like a real sweetie. I love the beauty and the beast theme with her and Dowd, I got a few of them like that. Dude. Where were you!!!
Someone needs to explain this ACR/AHRMA difference to me? How can ACR run a race in CT the same weekend AHRMA is at Unadilla?? It makes no sense!
ACR is about racing first and the bike second, it is much more laid back than AHRMA. There is no bike inspections and nobody protests anything, I asked to ride my HL200 replica in the 100 class because my brother was in it and was told no problem, I also raced it in the EVO 200 class which is where it really belongs.
AHRMA is more about the bike and how it has to be "period" correct which I could really give a F#%* about, The fast guys are going to beat me on whatever bike they are riding no matter what the modifications are and if they want a disc brake on a 1980 RM 100 then so be it.
I really do want to do Unadilla next year
it would seem you are not alone.
