Poor old Gordon. Running top 3 and in front of any trouble, slows to pit, and gets caught up in somebody else's wreck. After that he's stuck in the middle of the pack and becomes a pinata, gets hit in two more wrecks. Finishes 12th.

I like Stewart, fine with him winning. Couldn't believe he got such a good push that even after losing his draft partner he still had the oomph to get to the front.

That's the same phrase he used after his DUI a few years ago.

I've been in the random drug testing pool since 1990, allergy meds don't cause a person to fail a drug test, end of story. We are held to a .04 alc level too. In my mind I give the guy a pass at .08, another ten minutes and he would have been at .07, fine line.

Yup, hard to say. I read thru their policy, there's some stuff in there that they can't take even with a prescription. He knew the rules though, no excuse.

Maybe the late banning is part of the NASCAR game? Makes for some drama at a race that has an entirely empty back stretch grandstand.

If you recall the Mayfield story pseudoephedrine is a no-no in any amount shown in a test, so strong allergy meds are not allowed?

I'm not very sympathetic towards his plight. As much as I enjoy imbibing the odd thing, I'd have no trouble following the straight and narrow if Roger Penske let me drive his racecar, let alone pay me for it. In addition, he'd already been through a similar situation 3 years ago. I wouldn't waste an opportunity like that.

I recall the Mayfield drug to be meth.

I don't understand how somebody can't stay on the straight and narrow at that level? Idiots.

True, it has happened at places I've worked and it baffles me how a guy throws away 85k a year to puff the peace pipe.

True, but what baffles me is why alcohol is legal and pot isn't when you look at how many thousands alcohol kills every year?! Class 1 narcotic my A$$!?! The other stupid thing about the piss test is that pot will test positive for over 2 weeks when the effect only lasts hours?! He should have done some acid, it won't show at all! :huh

2 weeks??? Try 30 days, according to everything I've read.

Pot makes a person stupid and the brain cells don't grow back. From what I know it takes 77 days to clear pot out for a clean test.

Maryjane doesn't kill brain cells. Alcohol does, though.

It's possible to beat a pee test by drinking massive amounts of water over a period of a few days to dilute your everything, and to then drink something to return to normal levels the chemicals which indicate a normal pee sample.

From what I can see, getting a clean pee test under normal circumstances varies greatly by individual, up to about 30 days. A hair test will sink you for months, perhaps years.

So why do Nationwide cars tandem but Cup cars don't?

This is a slippery slope and nobody is gonna win. :lol3 Injections of THC won't kill brain cells, inhaling carbon monoxide will...most pot users smoke it..bye bye brain cells. Pretty simple.

Alcohol use doesn't kill brain cells until the level of an alcoholic.

Too much water can kill brain cells...pot head getting ready for a pee test.

Can't wait to hear who is gonna be THE dodge team!!~

    AJ positive for a stimulant.

"In the NASCAR rule book’s section on substance abuse, stimulants are defined as including amphetamine, methamphetamine, Ecstasy (MDMA), Eve (MDEA), MDA, PMA, Phentermine and other amphetamine derivatives and related compounds."
